for those with greddy type s bov

For those of you who have a greddy type s on your audi what do I exactly need to make it recirculating and safe for my s4? My diverter valves are goin and ive got a friend thats willing to give me his greddy type s bov and found another cheap one, so what adapters would i need and how many ive i got 2 greddy bovs thanks!!!!!

My money is on there not being one other person on here running these. I highly doubt its worth your time. Sell them and get a set of 710n's or Forge 007s or Baileys or...

greddy sells a recirculating kit on just about any turbo website on the internet. just google for it. you do know that by recircing it you're not going to get the signature type s sound. it wont be much louder than the stock diverter valves. 710n's are made better than the greddys and are made for your car, not to mention that the piston on the type s will eventually leak, guaranteed. If you want a jdm audi, at least get a bov thats made to recirc like the ssq or a blitz. the best on the market is synchronic. sounds to me like you just want the noise, so just google greddy recirculating bov kit and you'll find what you need. all the kit does is remove the horn and add a little pipe that connects to your stock piping and gives an adapter for the flange to put a charge pipe on the other end.

Oh, and since greddy discontinued the type s almost 4 years ago now, they go for about 200 used in decent condition. so if you're 'friend' gave them to you, chances are they are fake china crap with greddy stickers.

damn didnt know that many people would be dicks first of all i dont just want the sound hence the making it recirculating would delete the sound if i wanted just the sound i would leave it so there you go im not just one of those dumb people that go for sound just wanted to know what i would need second what does my screen name have to do with anything im not looking to make a jdm audi thats just plain stupid is there something wrong with someone liking hondas theres really nothing wrong with that is there im obviously not gonna build my audi like i built my honda so lets keep the honda talk out of this thank you for the peopl that led me in the right direction with the recirculation parts i would have needed but i decided it would be cheaper to get 710n's. he would still need to aquire another one to run it on our cars. And cheaping out on a part like diverter valves on an s4 is just asking for problems.

Damn there are a lot of haters on here.

The Greddy Type S is already setup for a recirc, the Type RS is the one with a horn which requires a recirc adapter to use in these cars.

You will need a hose that will fit on the BOV & the intake piping, which will be different sizes. (= harder to find)
You will also need an adapter for the pressure side of the BOV because there is no flange on the S4 DVs.
The design behind the Greddy BOV is not very efficient and you will get compressor surge even on the softest setting.
Push/pull systems work best for recirc, which is what Synchronic, HKS SSQV, & OEM DVs use. (for a reason)

The way these cars are plumbed you wont hear the BOV when recirc anyway, and the 710n's are cheap & work great which makes all the effort & $$ required to fit generic BOVs pointless.

bov on s4 = fail
