Symphony II+ vs symphony II is there diffrence in sound quality?

i have a4 06 non bose and would like to improve my sound quality i already have after market sub and amp installed. Would there be a diffrence in sound quality if i would change my radio to Symphony II+ ? or would the only diffrence be mp3 player and bigger screen? Also i think Symphony II looks outdated I thought about geting aftermarket radio but i rather go with stock look also does Symphony II+ have that cut off problem at higher volume? (lower bass)

Not totally sure about sound quality but my Symphony II+ seemed about the same as my friends Symphony II. Both Non-bose.
I definitely agree that the II+ looks much better but making mp3 cds all the time is kind of a pain in the ass. Maybe go with a RNS-E if you have the choice.
I never experienced any bass cutoff at high volume but I'm also running a stock subwoofer and amp.

I've heard from numerous B6 guys that the symphony II+ does improve sound quality over the symphony II. However, I'm not certain as to whether this was with Bose, non-Bose, or both.

I have heard that on non-bose the sound quality changes drastically, and on bose systems the sound quality changes enough to notice it. As soon as I can find a deal on S II+ I am getting one. The aux input is worth its weight in gold. I'm not spending 200 on a Audi peripheral to use my ipod if I can find a S II+ for close to the same price. Ebay.uk sometimes has some good deals on them.

Subscribed. I want to eventually run S II+ with one JL 10wO and a 250/1, and would love for it to have better sound out of the gate.. I'm finding my S II lacking.

from what i found there is a significant improvement to the sound quality with II+ but radio reception is not as good do to difreant antena systems. Also in order for it to work We need harness and antena adapter runing arround 70 for evrything. So it makes me wonder is it worth it? The entire swap would cost arround $300 I add another 300 and have aftermarket navi hmmmm
