Kenny, I think I payed 50 or 55 for my fairing at Brave in Little Silver. I'm headed to both EMS and Brave in Point. I'll look and see what they are selling for. Pretty sure I have your number still and will text you what they are selling for. I'm looking to see what the snowboard carriers cost as well. Might be cheapest at Sports Authority for the carrier but I'll see.

Also, Yakima racks are supposed to be universal. I have the thule roof racks and used the yakima bike carrier because they cost $125 a rack and I got them on sale at Dicks Sporting Goods in Freehold for 50 bucks a peice. Might want to shop around for the carriers and see where you can get the best deal.

Kenny, They didn't have our fairings in stock at either ems or the brave in point. but the part number is 872xt. The fairings when I was at Brave ranged from 40-80. The one for 40 was an open box. They were around 75-80 at ems. If you are cool with anyone at Brave, maybe you might be able to get them to drop the price a little. Like I said, I got mine for 55. I was looking for the guy that I bought mine from when I got my board carrier but couldnt find him. Forgot his name too. Ended up spending 80 on a 2 board carrier so I don't have to take my bike carrier on and off all the time. Between the bag through the back seat and the carrier I should be good for carrying enough boards. What did you do to your neck?

Also, The Brave in Little Silver had some Thule stuff that looked like it was on clearance. I think the 4 board carrier was 139 and the sliding 4 board carrier was 129... Brick Sports authority had the 4 Board carrier on clearance for 149. So 129-139 is a good price.

44" is the correct size. The OEM rack is technically "rapid aero". Remember that when looking at fit specs

If you can, find an older style fairing without all the rubber crap on it. Its a bit bigger overall. Also, for the snowboard carrier, the Thule one you want is the Flat-Top 6 (I have it for my skis). I'll post a picture once my picture gallery starts working again.

Edit: Here you go. This rack seems to be very adjustable so it should fit the OE rack with no worries...its also a bit bigger.

Look at pics of my car. That's the thule 44 inch with thule rack. The fairing fits the front of the car perfect. 48 would be too big. If you look at the Thule site or any catalog in any of the stores, 02-06 a4 is the 872xt part number.

Also, one thing to check into. I got the Flat-Top 4 carrier for my snowboard. They come with the Squared attachments for the bars. Are the oem square or round/oval? Might need adapters for the load bars if they aren't square. Yakima bars are round if you need a rounded attachement.

OEM are rounded squares. The fairing seems to fit both according to the site. the OEM is more like the Thule Rapid Aero's but not as round.
