    How to remove spark plug wire clips

    its about 25 degree out and when i attempt to push down on the spark wire clip on my 02 a4 1.8t the clip on the wires seems to snap and break off. Is there another way or removing these

    I use a small flathead screwdriver and just lightly twist in the gap where the clip is until I hear the little click of the clip disengaging. You have to really baby it though or else the clips will break.

    Not to my knowledge. You can try to just bypass the clip and muscle the harness off

    yeah - if the clips are already broken, you can just pull the connector off, but be careful since the wires and connector are probably pretty brittle - especially on an '02!

    o yea tried to use a small flathead and broke two off and salvaged the other two, these 02s really stink

    I just said that about the '02 because it's older and has had more time for engine heat to affect the plastic. Mine's an '03, and I have the same issues.
