So I took the allroad camping on the beach this weekend. I was surprised at how well it drove over the soft sand and big ruts. Even aired down to 10lbs still Plenty of ground clearance
I got a lot of strange looks and a few people yelling at me thinking I was lost lol. "You can't drive cars on here 4wd only!"

I did manage to get stuck once while I was leaving. My dumb ass aired up the tires before I went back onto the sand to get the rest off my stuff.... 100% my fault. Luckily someone yanked me out quick. I gave the clutch a good Beating trying to get myself out. Just too much resistance. Only time I wished I had an actual allroad 6speed gearbox! Otherwise it floated right over everything

I even turned the back of the AR into a tent lol

I always love seeing allroads being used as they were intended to be used. It's too bad Audi didn't make 6spd 2.7t avants, it seems like every "enthusiast's" allroad gets slammed with coils and paintmatched...

Lol.. What nugget means is 95% of allroad owners don't actually use there allroads to there full potential. I would like to think I fall in that 5% because as useless as it might seem it's kinda funny to see all the things the allroad can do that most cars can't.

I use Chemical Guys brand stuff.
Citrus Wash & Gloss Concentrated Car Wash
Glossworkz Gloss Booster and Paintwork Cleanser

and then when I am not doing a "real clean" and on a time limit I do just a spray all around of
Hybrid V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant & Quick Detailer.

I got a ton of their stuff though from waxes to interior cleaners and leather conditioning etc etc.

I have become a fan of theirs their products are great value and not over-priced. I like the customer service and they ship quickly to me. I have tried a few other brands and their are other companies that might have a few better products but the prices are also greatly increased. I dont have a show car shes a DD. But I do like to keep her clean as I can.

And, I'm going to have these widened to ~ 9.5. Current specs are 19 x 8.5 et35. Safe tire size 255/35 or 265?

So in looking for hotchkis sways it seems the part #22815 doesnt include 2005 or 4.2. Am I missing something or will they fit and work. Even on hotchkis site they dont list 2005? Seems they dont realize these were produced thru 05. Thanks in advance.

Go wider, I had mine widened from 8.5 to 9.5 in the rear and I wish I went wider. I put 275 on the rear and looks great, tooons of room with a final offset of 5. (of course it's different for my wheels since they're 8.5 with an inch added to the inside.)

A couple random supporting pics. Ignore the lack of exhaust tips, I just got RS 6 tips and haven't cut for them yet.

Hmm. Mine will be just executed by wider inner barrels. 10 wide? But et wont be effected I dont think at least. Dumb ? But can I decrease my et aside from running spacers. Usually have a pretty good handle on wheel stuff but have not widened wheels before. Thanks. Also new platform as current and previous cars are/were c4 and b5

Beautiful car btw. Really cant wait to get mine

Thanks! I appreciate it, I really love it too.

So I believe it sounds like you understand what's going on with wheel widening. When they widen a wheel they simply add material to the barrel as you say, the hub contact point will not change, but the innermost edge of the wheel will be closer to the upright.

10 would be more satisfying for me, if I did it again (I think I will put the 9.5s on the front and do just this with the fronts) I'd have my rears be 11"

Cool. Ya im a little concerned about inner clearance and I didnt want to have to run spacers but I guess I will. Done it before so no big deal I guess. Really like those wheels and havent really been able to use them much.

Maybe just get some wide lower et rpf1's for a more lightweight setup. The funs just begun

    on my 04 allroad:

purchased 20x10 +40 allroad knowing they wouldnt work without spacers. Ordered up 20mm spacers all around (effectively 20x10+20 now). Unfortunately the fronts hit the uprights, so i was forced to go with a 25mm spacer up front (effectively 20x10 +15). Now it works fine. No issues.

I always thought 20x10+25 would work up front. oh well. lower offsets dont scare me.

Beauty of widebody. Just would prefer not using that beefy of a spacer but not a big deal really

I always thought 20x10+25 would work up front. oh well. lower offsets dont scare me.
What size tire? If you're not stretched I would love to see pics from directly behind.

245/35/20. I wouldnt consider it a stretch (but then again, this is an upgrade from a 225/35 or 235/35 that i used to run on my GS430). I actually have a new set of wheels on the way in 20x10 +3 (f) and 20x10 +0 (r) that should fit perfectly. I'll get a pic from the rear in the morning (just dropped on BC Coilovers yesterday too), should be a good pic.

245 is fo sho a stretch. Not extreme, but to put it in perspective, I'm at 275 on 9.5" wheels. I'm thinking about going 11" and 305 treadwidth tires. I want to see someone wider than 275 and see what it looks like.

Still interested to see the pic though :)
