    Headlight warning buzzer

When I got my 04 A4 avant from day 1 I notice that the buzzer was not working or didn't existed on my model. I just thought that Audi would not skip on such a basic feature. I try to remember to turn my lights off but I forget time to time and just want to have that as my neighbor have A4 and he said he does have the buzzer.

I search and some say it's the switch in the door itself, but my light in door and dim interior lights work fine. When I turn the car on I don't hear any initial buzzing, if there should be any.. like seat belts etc..

Does anyone know what can it be? Maybe the buzzer itself?

    Thanks,
    Dave

nope... no buzzer here either. its been good training tho to always remember to manually turn off your lights. I just wish we got the "Auto" (a.k.a. dummy) feature on our gen.

My 02 3.0 bings when I start it for the seatbelt chime and bings if you open the door with the headlights on. Likely its been turned off wiht a VAG-COM by a prior owner.

In the old days we used to reach up under the dash and pull the buzzer out of the socket...now you have to reprogram the computer.

    Re: Headlight warning buzzer

Good info, if this could be turn on/off with vagcom then maybe the owner before me turn this off, if this is possible. That would be the only option that would make sense. Or the buzzer was removed..

Have the cable and will linkup my laptop to mess with it, but I'm lost as to where should I go and look in vagcom and if I find it how would I change it?

Ross, has online DEMO and the menus work to browse around, using this where would it be hidden under?
