You should be fine depending on how low you go on those coils...

225/45/18 will have a pretty thick sidewall

    Re: 225/45/18 will they fit

i plan on upgrading to 18's and am going with 215/40r18's. theres a .04% difference in rolling circumference compared to factory 205/55/r16's which is the closest/lowest difference i could find. 1010tires.com has a tire size calculator that is very handy.

^ as long as all 4 tires are the same size and brand/model, it will not ruin your diff.

unless if you're talking about your speedometer accuracy.

Yeah 1010tires.com says there is a 4% difference. I'll probably pass on them.

    Re: 225/45/18 will they fit

I have 225/40/18's right now on coilovers. I have ruined parts of my inner wheel well on both sides but only from hard driving and never changing the hieght on my coilovers after I upgraded from 17's to 18's. Nevertheless I still use the same wheel well liners and they are still fine and arent being worn down anymore at this point. 45's will be bigger tho...

+1, it's recommended to stay within 3% of your stock rolling circumference for speedometer accuracy

I'd be more worried about control arm clearance. Taller tires are a tight fit. It is easier to go wider than taller.

agree. I purchased the same set up on oz wheels and I did not clear the arms. so I put 225/25/18 on and it fits nicely.

Do you have any pictures of these? That seems like a really short sidewall, does it have some stretch to them?
