I have no idea how to diagnosis this issue...

I had the car completely apart for the build, but never had any previous issue with the ABS controller. What the crap!!!

Re: 18057 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ABS Controller

Have you changed the ECU? Thats a code i get when i connect up my flashable M3.8.3 ECU, i assume its because the car it came from had CAN between the ABS controller and the ECU where as the B5 doesnt have Can Bus

It's the original OEM ECU... however, it has been reflashed with Eurodyne software.

Re: 18057 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ABS Controller

there is a particular soldered connection in the abs module that fails that will give you this fault/complaint. this is assuming all electrical power to the module is present. you could remove the electrical portion of the abs unit, opened it up and resolder or just buy the electrical portion

Old bump, but I happened to get the same code on the same reflash. Anyone have any clue? My system was working just fine prior to tune install

I think the best thing would be to call up TAPP since obviously it is an issue with their tune.

Think its a Eurodyne issue... I still get the same error.

They're basically using code from a slightly different version of the ECU. Perhaps an ESP flash on an non-ESP equipped car or Traction Control flash on an Quattro.

The ECU is looking for messages from the ABS controller relating to these missing features and isnt finding them, hence the fault code.

That should be just a simple recode issue then, right? When I recode my CH or M box (AWM), I have to specify all that crap.
