Anyone know all the details on the B8 S4 OEM 19" wheel and tire combo?

    What width are the rims?
    Offset?
    Bolt pattern?
    Weight
    Tire Size and make/model

Honestly, I can't remember the width..
    +35 offset
    5x112 with a 66.6mm center
weight with my pilot sport ps2's comes in at just under 55lbs
there are three of four different tires they 19s have come with; very random as to what you'll get.

I thought the wheels were 19x8.5 et43 wrapped in 255/35/19 tires. Bolt pattern and bore is indeed 5x112 and ~66.6, respectively.

Yep this is it, it's 35ET if you want it nice and flush with the fenders, they come a little tucked under.

Re: OEM 19" wheel and tire specs

I'm running 19x8.5 et32 w/ 245/35/19s on OEM sport suspension (which I believe is the same ride height as the S4 suspension) for a flush fitment w/ no rubbing. I believe 19x8.5 et35s will be rub-free w/ 255/35/19s, but don't quote me on that. 8.5"-wide et32s w/ 255 tires have been known to rub occasionally.

Bruce has 18x8.5's and running ET35's with 255 rubber and doesn't rub - it looks very nice and flush, so just changing the diameter should be fine there.

    OKay thanks for the replies...

So now, does anyone make R8 replica wheels that would fit an S4? I'm looking in particular for the original thin spoke style of the first R8 models, not the current one.

Re: OEM 19" wheel and tire specs

Hartmann makes R8 reps in 18x8 and 19x8, but the Achtuning website says that the 19x8s don't fit B8s. I'd give them a call to be sure.

If their site says it doesn't that is accurate, they are a quality shop. That said, you can still buy them and take em to a good shop to have them bored to 66.6.

I've only heard good things about Achtuning so ya, they are quality. Never hurts to ask tho. Plus, they may be able to have them bored out for you before shipping so that you don't have to worry about it.

Re: OEM 19" wheel and tire specs

    Hmm their website says this:

    19x8.5" | ET38 | 5x112 bolt pattern - Fits the following models:
    Audi A4 B5, B6, B7 and B8 chassis
    Audi A5 B8 chassis
    Audi A6 C5 chassis (4.2 requires a 5mm spacer)
    Audi A6 C6 chassis
    Audi A8 D2 chassis
    Audi A8 D3 chassis
    Audi allroad (requires 15mm spacers)
    Audi Q5
    Audi RS4 B7 chassis (requires 15mm spacers)
    Audi RS6 C5 chassis (requires a 5mm spacer)
    Audi S4 B5, B6, B7 and B8 chassis
    Audi S5 B8 chassis
    Audi S6 C5 chassis (requires a 5mm spacer)
    Audi S6 C6 chassis
    Audi TT MkII chassis
    Volkswagen CC
Volkswagen Passat B5 and B5.5 chassis
    Volkswagen Tiguan

    So shouldn't they fit?

I also found these whicj are quite a bit cheaper:

Yes those ones will fit. Some of the 18s are the smaller botre though. The 19s listed there fit great. No spacer required. et38 with 255s is rub free. The stocker 19s are et43, and work well with a 5mm spacer= 38et.

Thanks. BTW, what does 'et' stand for? is it just the offset?

yes, offset is shown as et by wheel makers. Not sure what is is short for. Extra Testicle.

Re: OEM 19" wheel and tire specs

^Not sure which page of the Achtuning site that's from but if it says it fits B8s, then it should be fine.

Wheels are usually stamped with their offset using the German prefix "ET", meaning "Einpresstiefe" or, literally, "insertion depth".

Offset is usually stamped on the wheel and is measured in millimeters of et (et is the short form of the German word 'Einpresstiefe', which literally translates as "insertion depth").

My Ultraleggera OZs are 19x8 et35 with 245/35R19 Michelins.
According to tyre calculator, its actual offset, considering narrower wheel, is just 3 mm less (3 mm closer to fenders) than OEM 19" wheels and tires, which is not critical, IMO.

I'd say you have room for 5mm spacers even Nick. They might look nice at least on the back.

Re: OEM 19" wheel and tire specs

We have 2 variants of our Hartmann HR8 wheels, the -GS:M and the new -GA:M. GS:M is Machined face/Silver paint, GA:M is Machined face Anthracite paint. The MS and MA are both available in a 66.65mm centerbore for the B8s.

The only reason I don't list the 19" HR8-GA:M for the B8 is that it is a 19x8.0" wheel which is just a bit skinny for a 255-35-19, it can certainly still be used though, we have done 255s on 8.0" wheels many times in the past without issue.

Surprisingly, Lou, my current 18" stock OEM wheels with 245/40R18 winters have got a LOT less actual visible offset than my 19" summer wheels - I mean deeper inside fenders, closer to suspension parts. No issues, of course, as long as it's OEMs, but looks worse.
I've heard that spacers add much to car's looks, thus making it more aggressive, but also heavily increase wear and tear of the wheel bearings.
