theres one set fitted to a nogaro blue S4 on the site and if I recall they were part of a special set of wheels for audi fitment and they would not be produced again unless 10 buyers prepaid.

they won't fit. Unless you feel like pulling your fenders and probly painting them then don't even bother.

    Re: rota p45r

Meh, he said they are a 17x9.5 et 30. I have a 17x9 et20 on my car which sticks out further that a 9.5 et30 would. I'm also running fk452's in a 215/45 and they don't even really looked stretched to me since the sidewall is taller than they would be in say a 225/40 on an 18. You would have to look at the inner clearance in this case, I'm not sure if they would clear.

    Re: rota p45r

I have 225/40s on my 19x9.5s. I think I'm going to narrow it up to 215/45s because there is absolutely no stretch and I need a bigger sidewall. I can't get a higher profile rubber in there with 225s.

I'm pretty sure he will rub on the inside.

Why, do they become mysteriously triangular shaped if you put them on anything other than a Honda?

As far as fitment, 9.5 width and a 215 series tire just doesn't make sense.

i dont want 18s or 19s because of the fittment issues and the work you have to do to fit them. i just tought that by going with 17x9.5 or 17x9 et 20 i would had be fine with few issues and less work. i seen a few s4 on here with this size so i know it can been done. is there another wheel that will work? i just like that wide look on the s4. this s4s sure are a pain even to get the right wheels for them. thanks for the replies

    Re: rota p45r

Nothing wrong with the size if you're up for doing a little fitment work. IMO 17x9 is a great size for wheels on S4's.

It makes sense on a stock bodied s4. You wouldn't be able to fit any wider of a tire.

I'd imagine fitment issues between a 17 and 18 would be similar. You need to go lower with a 17 to look good since the sidewall is higher...

What would really make sense would be a 17x8 wheel with a 215 tire.

for all practical purposes an additional 1/4 inch on each side won't change the look a whole lot and the fender clearance will be a little better with more stretch

That is a falken fk452. I know a falken 512 is about .4" skinnier so that would be a different story.

that looks like a 215 on an 18x9.5 not a 17x9.5. as long as you have the clearance you should be able to drive just as hard.

omg. stretch is fucking gay. a 225 on a 9.5 will need to be filled up 2-3 times per week. thats annoying

whats more annoying is you look like a beaner-truck. stretch it just enough to fit so your car doesnt handle like a mack truck w/ those tiny tires

    Wat?

215's or 225's will basically act the same whether they are on an 8 or 9. You aren't going to need to continually fill them with air either.

For those of you that are wondering what a particular tire brand/size will look like on a certain width/size wheel go to www.tyrestretch.com

Actually, stretch on some set ups is quite sexy.

I've ran 225's on 9" rims. Didn't even poke. 215's you might be getting poke then, but still not as much as some VW guys. 452's are also liquid.

And horrible comparison of using Mack trucks for handling as they're far better than Petersbuilt

    Re: rota p45r

There is more to consider then tire width. A 215/30 will be stretched at a far more radical angel then a 215/45 because there is less sidewall to bridge the width gap. Op, you should be fine with a 215/45 and I don't think you will fit much bigger on a lowered stock-body car.

its up to you, what setup you go with and what look you trying to acomplish, you will need to modify your fenders either way. i would probably go with 235/40.

Impossible. If they're flexible enough to stretch, they're not solid enough to not roll over under hard cornering. They won't be similar.

I said similar. Not the same.

I could put the exact same tires that are on my bbs onto my stock avus and you wouldn't be able to tell a difference.

And how wide are your BBS's? That's just not true. You'll have more sidewall if they're installed on stock wheels, and more room for sidewall flex.
