not many aftermarket seat companies do. Buying a stasis or sparco or momo or corbeau, cobra, buddy club, bride, blah blah blah is well worth the investment if you actually are going to race. Make sure you check the NASA/SCCA/FIA regs for whatever class you wan to run for the seat you need. Also, keep in mind that unless you are in a limited or street class, chances are you are going to be required to have side brackets rather than bottom seat brackets, so you will need to hack up your floorpan and frame a bit for fitment. Not a problem really if you really want to race the car in a higher class chances are you dont care.
If you only want the seats for looks, consider the fact that the cheaper seats really are cheaply made. Taken apart, the braising and welds look shoddy at best on many of the ebay style seats. NRG is an up-and-coming supplier, but they are still reverse engineering EVERYTHING they sell, which means they are stealing designs and making them cheaper than originals. They are what OBX was 5 years ago(although they still suck). At any rate, most of the low buck seats are NOT DOT approved and have never been tested by the NHTSA, so beware on the roads. If you get in an accident, your insurance company won't be required to pay out if you install an unapproved seat/harness.
That brings me to my last point, harnesses belong on the track only! They are dangerous and not made for street use. There is not a harness available that is DOT approved, and not one, regardless of the cost, is safer than OEM seatbelt systems designed to be used in conjunction with OE airbag systems.
Sorry for the soapbox, but I'm tired of seeing people with ebay seats and harnesses doing 9000000mph and telling me they are race car drivers at meets.
