When I had my 03 Audi A4, brake and pads were covered. Is this no longer the case with 2008 Audis ?

I do not believe normal wear and tear items are covered under warranty

No wearable parts are ever covered by warranty as far as my experience has been. Why would they ever replace something for free that is intended to wear and be replaced. Maybe under some sort of free maintenance schedule, but not warranty.

What he said and its not covered under audi care either. The only way would be if you have something worked out with the dealer. Didn't bmw had some type of coverage that covered brakes wipers etc? I think Audi had it about 7-8 years ago but that was when they were trying to attract more customers.

Re: Are Brakes Covered Under Warranty?

The older audi's up until 2004 had brakes and wipers covered under manufacturers warranty.

Currently, no wear and tear items are covered under that warranty unless a manufacturers defect...

I believe under the Audi Advantage they will replace pads 1 time. Wipers are covered to. Not under the warranty though only Audi Advantage.

I could've sworn I read on here multiple times in the past that 05 or 06 was the last yr for this option, but whatevs, no biggie.

Yeah, before my warranty and free maintenance plan ran out, I had my front pads replaced for free. My service advisor called me when my car was in for the 35k service and told me something along the lines of, "your front pads are looking pretty low, would you like us to replace them for free as Audi offers one free replacement."

Re: Are Brakes Covered Under Warranty?

05's are the only cars that got warranty wearable items:bulbs, wipers, clutch, brakes. 06+ are 12mo/12k, clutch is 6/6 iirc. bulbs and wipers are 6/6. but if you buy a cpo, it probably got brakes before you bought it as they have to have 7mm minimum (half of total thickness) to pass cpo standards. pads are just about one of the easiest diys around and rotors arent any harder.
