Esp asr off

So one push of the ESP button turns the ASR off, but not ESP.

Pressing and holding ESP turns it all off. Audi probably did it for liability reasons? But why?

apparently you can also just press twice.


Lots of tech in small spaces in this car, but why ASR and ESP? OFF!

Would be nice if there was a vag mod to turn it all of by default.

What are you complaining about, not that big a deal. From what I understand, it was because some people wanted something in between ESP and no ESP.

Why would you? It's not at all intrusive for day to day dirving and may help you out.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I don't have time to be holding a button! Who's the doofus that came up with this ludicrous design? If I were you, I'd call Ingolstad right now and demand to speak with an engineer. Who in their right mind would come up with such an idiotic idea?! I bet some sicko! Get on that phone and give 'em hell!

Tuning ASR and ESP off doesn't mean that all safety systems are switched off.

The Electronic differential lock (EDL) is still working - you can read about it in your Owner's Manual.

I'm just playin around bud . I can see why they did it, possibly to have something in between everything and nothing. I mean look at the F430 (just an example), they have "sport mode," "race mode," and so on and that's a race car essentially. The S4 is a sports sedan, it can be used to get you to work and then tear up the track on Saturday. I've never used just ASR off, I always turn it all off if I'm feeling frisky, because I really didn't notice much of a difference but I guess for some that works?

Oh for sure, I turn it all off everytime I get in the car. I drive fairly conservatively 99% of the time.

Im just wondering why, and ifthere is a way to turn it off completely. In previous cars, when ESP was off, it wasnt really off. Just that the threshold seemed to be higher.

It is an S4, and it is the "sport" model, but from what Ive seen, and I dont know how much sense this makes, but Audi has given us something with a lot of room to make really fast.
