Have someone start the car, turn the headlights on, check both headlights in front of the car while friend hits the washer switch. ;) j/k

Re: How to remove headlight washers from bumper...

you can just pry them out a little until you can use your hands and gently pull straigt up, obviously use discretion so you don't scratch the paint on the bumper.

Edit: Or do you mean remove completely? Don't they bolt on from the rebar side? Then the cap can be removed from the washer after you pull it out as I described. I don't remember exactly from when I swapped them over from my stock bumper but it should be reasonably straightforward.

Re: How to remove headlight washers from bumper...

Ive done it when I shaved my bumper. I had the bumper off the car and you could push them out from the bottom. Once you pull them out there should be a couple tabs that hold them on. I dont remember exactly where they were but I remember it wasnt hard at all. Just look at it real hard and figure out how it works before you start tearing stuff off. The motors come out very easy from the back. PM if you have anymore questions.

take the head lights out first, no need to remove bumper

You can use the following methods without removing the front bumper. The front bumper is really a pain to remove. So here is what I did.

Used a flat screw diver to slowly lift the headlight washer nozzle cover. Once lifted you can take out the cover. It is attached to the nozzle head with punch clip.

Remove the respective fog light bumper housing/cover

Now remove the respective headlight assembly. There are 3 screw holding the headlight in place. 2 at the top and one near the inner side of the fender. There is a hole on the top of the fender near the headlight through which you can use a socket extension.

Once the headlight assembly is off you can access the headlight washer. It helps of you have a telescoping extension mirror. The nozzle is attached with 2 hex nut. Remove those, you would need to access the nozzle through the headlight and the fog light housing hole. Once the nuts or off.. you can take out the nozzle through the fog lamp housing

Putting it back together is in reverse order.

you need to remove the whole bumper and bumper reinforcement to be able to reach the screws holding the washer assembly to the bumper.

Re: How to remove headlight washers from bumper...

Thanks for replys...but not really the answers I was looking for; def should have clarified. I'm currently rebuilding the entire front end of my car, so I'm swapping the internals from the old bumper...to the new bumper.

The cap seems to be held on with a strong spring, and the setup under the cap doesn't just pull off...both sides are spring loaded. Something needs to unscrew somewhere (other than the 2 obvious torx bolts holding it on) to release the pump.

Seems like it needs to come apart to be removed from the bumper...hope that makes sense

Thanks for all the good posts!

There are 4 screws holding each headlight in. The top two need to be removed and the bottom two can just be loosened.

Bumpzz...anyone know how to disassemble the washer setup so I can take it out of my old bumper? Don't want to take both bumpers to the body shop and pay extra labor for them to do it.

the covers on the washers are just clipped in. The way I did mine was get a small flat head screw driver and pull up on the washer covers so you can grab them then pull the cover up it will be attached to the washer itself when in it is up you will be able to see the clips. Hopefully that will be of some help to you

Right, the caps should just pop off then I believe the whole washer will come out from underneath once the screws some out.

Its best if you have 2 people do it. Pry the cap up and have one person hold onto the sprayer so it does go back down into the bumper, while the other person pry the cover off. You can take the 2 screws out either before or after, it doesnt make a difference.

    Washer cap removal

The best way I have found to remove the washer cap is to use an air compressor and blow the washer jet up. This will hold the jet up so that you can easily take the cap off.

It comes out exactly how u would imagine. Pry it up, pull them out, then the top portion (cover) unclips. With the top portion off, they can be unscrewed from the bumper. Ull have to get the bumper off. But be warned, theyre a pita to get out and ur fingers will hurt from it.
