I have had solowerks on my car for about 50k, they aren’t worth it. They are noisy, springs are binding, and there is rust on them. It is true you get what you pay for, these are low quality at a low price.

Spend 1k and get real coils. These get noisy, sag, and get bouncy. Also consider the metal tubes don’t have corrosion resistance like the more expensive options.

I live in California so I don't have to worry about rust as much but i'll probably will continue looking for other coil over options then. Thanks for the response.

Vogtlands all the way. Spent few hundred more than solowerks. Slightly less than KWs there is some noise. But same noise is made on my Tein Coils on my old Lexus GS400. Ride is super good. No issues for 5k miles give or take. Rears are maxed out. Fronts still have another .25 inches. No rub unless car is full of people. @dropshadow - Thanks, my Avant certainly goes down the road great with this setup, rips in the snow and handles well too. Plus they are Made in Germany and just as strong as factory rims. No spacers and the larger B8 center hub fits perfectly. The RS6 wheels are a "fits like a glove" setup on the B8.

I've always mixed old school Audi parts with Audi quattros I've owned.

1990 Audi 90 20v quattro
- Added older 1980 Audi 5000 lower front corner valance spoiler ends to my 1990 Audi 90 20v quattro, looked fantastic!

1983 Audi urquattro
- Swapped front four light setup for Audi 80 RoW H4 euro lights.
- Swapped early 1983 dash to later 1987 Audi 4000CS dash.

1984 Audi urquattro
- Removed the high beam lights to get more airflow (swapped to Hella Rallye 1000s), built a new larger front A2 style rallye grille entirely out of same 1980 Audi 5000 front grille parts.
- Replaced front seat leather with later 1987 Audi 4000CS quattro skins.

This car is my DD I'm a 44 yo father. Work a very professional tech job in the city. I simply want a little more character than the 9 yo rims on there.
I've been told the Sport Edition don't look "great" up close a little "flat"?

Any insights or directions are appreciated for potential style choices. Looking thru this thread takes...... awhile or tell me what i'm looking for $ wise and desirablity is not possible

Ideally I'd love s4 style rims but centerbores dont match.

Hey Guys,

Im new to the audi scene and found a great price on some 19" x 9.5 ET35 wheels. I've been searching and see that its not the best combination due to the larger 9.5 and more aggressive offset. But does anyone have any tire size recommendations? I am on stock height right now, but thinking of lowering with some springs or coilovers, just enough to decrease the wheel gap to about 2-3 fingers. I've seen 245/35/19 and 255/35/19 thrown around. I don't mind a little stretch and would like minimal to no rubbing if possible. Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

I currently have 255/35/20 & it definitely isnt working for me. I was thinking maybe 245/30/20. You guys have any other suggestions?

I'm not a wheel wizard, but when I bought my 20x9's (et32) the recommended tire size was 245/30/20. I ended up going with a 35 series instead of 30 because i wanted a little more meat on the sidewall, but if you're trying to go lower, you might want to go with 30. Switching from a 255 to 245 tire should definitely help your cause a little too

I like it a lot, it looks better and the comfort is just the same with the sports stock suspension or eibach pro kit.

Overall, it feels better in looking and driving (by the way, i have bad roads in my country)

Can you do a 20x10.5 on an A4? I’m lowered on H&R sports. I’ve had 19x10 et 35 previously. Fit perfect. But the Rotiform is only made in an 8.5 or a 10.5 in the 20”, with et of +25, +35 or +45... Thanks
