1-MPH Speed warning lamp... HOW TO TURN IT OFF

Hey Guys,

I did a little search on my recent issue and I cant seem to find an exact match so I'm sorry if this has come up before.

Today while driving my 04-A4 1.8 T/Q the little speed light came on and I was unable to turn it off.

It looked something like this {1(MPH)}. When ever I went over 10 mph the thing came on... when I pulled to stop lights it went off.

I know I must have inadvertently set the speed sensor.. but I cannot imagine how. While driving I tried the "CHECK" Button on the dash but the light stayed on. It was only when I slowed to below 10 mph that the light went off.

At a stop I hit the check button again and it ran through the diagnostic with all signs clear... But this is really annoying so advice is most appreciated and welcomed.

while you are driving hold the "CHECK" button, until a line runs through the little mph sign...signifying that you just turned that feature off

Yes... I agree too.. I am sure the answer is IN the owners manual... however since I have bought my car used.... I Dont have an owners manual, and I am currently out of town and my shop manual is at home....
