    Which one would YOU want, Why?

    Alright well i picked up this MINT A4 from a good friend 2 months ago. Maintenance wise the car is sound, Always had everything on time and done right, The car JUST hit 100,000 miles and he did the new upgraded metal water pump and timing belt a little before i purchased it, Along with oil change. I love this car and have wanted it for... i'd say 4-5 years since he had it? lol Just because it was so simple and clean. And Euro's have been my guilty pleasure

    Clean titled Light Silver Metallic 2003 Audi A4 1.8T 5spd sport Package with 100,000 miles. Bose system, Black Leather (mint) Car is 9-10 inside and 8.5/9-10 outside (Does have small rock chips)

    -Mesh grill

    -Neuspeed Short Shifter
    -Neuspeed Snub Mount

    And i think that about sums it up... might be missing a thing or two..














    Now here's the S2000 i got offered as a trade, Now keep in mind I am a Honda/Acura guy. I've had 14 different one's from a CRX to a 2001 built Integra.
    Alright, Well i daily'd an S2 for a buddy since he didn't have a license for a couple months a year or so ago. They handle like on rails and when VTEC hits you are guaranteed a good time. I like them but i always thought, How does one daily this 2 seater with barely any room and no trunk? Now i have a huge family and lots of close little relatives that i take with me from time to time, Along with friends. So i always told myself they were to small but i'd love to own one and strip it just for track. Well i might be moving here soon and can finally get one myself since i will be a loner pretty much with my brother other then work.

    Thats a very good looking S2000. Personally, Id go for the A4 (as most people here will probably say since this is an Audi forum ). I love german engineering, even though the car has some faults, and like the look of a slightly modified A4 a lot better.

    being a honda guy myself (notice my screen name, you will probably get it, most dont) i am gonna have to say go for the S2k man, that thing is pure sex, the wheels and hardtop are sick. that is a nice a4 and all but the S2k is the shit. i have driven plenty of them and one will probably be my next car.

    I'd rather have the A4. Why...because its still a decently fun car (modded as yours seems to be) and yet has room for 4 adults and cargo. Its a euro sedan so you'll always have a mature classy edge, whereas a modded S2000 is more boy-racer. It has torque...I really can't stand how cars like an S2000 or RX-8 have virtually no torque or power until 5000rpm. For a daily driver the S2000 is just too small, impractical, and torque-less.

    Now...for a weekend car...i think it'd be a blast. Drop the top and

    I couldnt agree more.....the Audi is such a practical, responsible, classy car. Dont get me wrong, the s2k is a sweet looking car but it looks to racish for me. I couldn't imagine taking my boss to lunch in a s2k....a4 OTOH.

    $14k for a salvaged 2001 s2k? regardless of his mod's that's a silly price. I wouldn't go a dime over $10k for that thing, even with everything on there.

    I love s2k's to death and would have probably gotten one as a weekend car if the baby wasn't on the way. I think there are better fish in the sea other than this one...

    if your gonna be on your own soon id take the s2000, i like the audis and hate the hondas but the s2000 is not a typical honda escpecially they are rear wheel drive. ive always wanted one of those.

    That s2k looks superb because its tastefully modded, doesnt look riced out at all. I always hear about their speed and how great they handle and thats dandy and all but i need drunk hooker space

    That is a super clean S2K, and I love the wheels and hardtop. But a salvaged title would be a deal breaker for me.

    I sold my '05 s2k for my A4... as the s2k wasn't the best daily driver. I'd normally have my trunk full with work stuff (laptop bag, lunch, gym bag) and have to put my hockey bag in the passanger seat on the days I'd play...It got old fast.

    As many have said, the s2k is a great 2nd car or weekend car, I strongly urge you to stay away from it as a daily driver.

    Some other facts to consider on the ap1 (2000-2003), the trans is the weak-link in those cars. If it was abused, the 1-2 & 2-3 syncros are probably on their way out. If you do ever pick one up, get an ap2 (04-08), yeah it's got a lower rev limit (8k vs. 9k), but the power band is still there, and the trans revisions alone make it worth it

    I also loved being able to change my oil without lifting the car up (you can reach the plug & filter from the engine bay

    So you have a sport luxury car with decent amount of go fast and looks and a sports car that has a bunch of crap on it that doesnt make it go any faster... If I were you I would have him throw in like $4k for a supercharger or turbo kit to make its go fit its show. Go>show

    VERY clean S2k, personally I like the euro look better, and the A4 is a lot more practical and classy, I sold my MR2 because it was an uncomfortable daily driver and had no room in it.

    There must be 2 different Audi brands because the one I have that was made in Germany def does not have "decent amount of go fast" I don't even know wtf that means to be honest.

    After test driving the honda s2000 I knew it wasn't the car for me, too small and no tq.

    Decent amount of go fast is all the bolts on bits and so forth. Its a full stage 2 car. Compared to a stock a4 its alot faster. Im assuming you have a b6, after the b5 they made the a4's in mexico unless Im misinformed.

    The a4 will be more comfortable, but the s2k will beat it all day long, that car has enough power, wich if you want that in the A4 it will cost you alot cause youll need at least a gtrs to beat it, and im talking about a stock s2k.
    I dirve both cars since my lil brother owns one, and the feeling you have driving that car is just like if you where in a race car, you always have power, and the handling is very good.
    Parts are expensier than the A4 but you can live with that.
    Only reason i wouldnt buy the s2k is because you cant take anything on it, and you almost dont have space to put papers on the car. A bag will hardly fit in the trunk as well.
    if you wanna go FAST buy the s2k, my a4 had an awe kit and the s2k stock would go head to head, and wiht a very good driver it could even beat it.
    If you wanna go SLOW and comfortable buy the a4.

    Price is steep for a "salvaged" s2000. If it wasn't titled as a salvage vehicle, I would definately trade in the a4 for the s2000.

    Of course, this is an Audi forum so 9 out of 10 will say keep the a4...

    on hondas the second cam is much more aggressive than the first so its only the top 1000rpms or so, on most of their cars. a chip for us ups the boost and a chip for them engages VTEC about 1000 rpms sooner in the power band

    i loooooooveeee hondas... so if anyone here says pick a4 over the s2k because the s2k is "rice" "asian boy racers wet dream" or anything along those lines needs to shut the fuk up.

    ive driven plenty of s2ks and let me tell you it is way funner to drive than an a4...race inspired, rear wheel drive.. all around awesome car and fact that this car is very tastefully done is a big plus too. However, having a salvaged title and wanting 14k is a bit too much. and there are better deals out there if you look hard enough... (since the s2k is in LA.. so cal has tons of hondas to choose from)

    A4... very classy, grown up adult choice..( this is why i went with mine as well).. plenty of room for storage, roomy, but still has potential for great performance. All depends what you want out of it.

    i loooooooveeee hondas... so if anyone here says pick a4 over the s2k because the s2k is "rice" "asian boy racers wet dream" or anything along those lines needs to shut the fuk up.

    ive driven plenty of s2ks and let me tell you it is way funner to drive than an a4...race inspired, rear wheel drive.. all around awesome car and fact that this car is very tastefully done is a big plus too. However, having a salvaged title and wanting 14k is a bit too much. and there are better deals out there if you look hard enough... (since the s2k is in LA.. so cal has tons of hondas to choose from)

    A4... very classy, grown up adult choice..( this is why i went with mine as well).. plenty of room for storage, roomy, but still has potential for great performance. All depends what you want out of it.

    I'd skip the S2K. I had 2 friends that switched from Audis to japanese sports cars (one bought a Miata, the other a G35) and they both say they regret it. The one with the G35 says the interior of the G is full of sh*t and he's pissed that the engine takes oil, while the one with the Miata thinks his car is unbelievably unpractical.

    But both also have their good points: the G35 has an awesome sound and looks good and the Miata is fun when it's topless.

    I think the A4 is the best mix you can get especially modded like yours. German compact executive sport sedan with a fuckload of aftermarket parts and specialized tuners. What else can you ask for

    Depends what you want/how long you plan to keep the car for.
    Long term A4 daily cruiser ... short term fun s2k track car.

    I agree with others that have mentioned the salvage title. That's a deal breaker unless we're talking stupid cheap cars. (under $3k) Too much risk.................
    Slow and ugly...
