I'd like to know as well...

I seem to recall someone on the B6 forum saying there's a distributor based in B. C., but the details escape me at the moment.

Home Hardware in Oakville or any Home Hardware
They may not stock it all but they can order a can for you if you request
Came to $12.99+tax I forget it was 2 years ago something like that

Go check to see if they still carry it, if not I think I have half a can left

^x2 Home Hardware has em. Sometimes they aren't in the obvious sections so just ask someone who works there. One time they had it in the paint section another time in the tools and another in gardening, go figure.

local home hardware sometimes does not carry the spray can, which is what you want. they only have the liquid in a can, so you can dip shit into it. thats how it is in stoney creek anyways. not sure how it is out towards toronto

Home Hardware is where I got mine. You have to order it and leave a deposit.

Pics of my front grills/rings here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=270987

It's been over a year since I did it and still looks perfect. No chips, tears, etc.

thanks. No, my tire rack things come coated in a protective coating. This is going to be for my front plate holder, and maybe my rear valence.

I'm also considering going plateless by doing a front plate delete filler panel, and I want to plasti-dip the chrome strips.

Yo Sak, I've got the front plate delete panel if you're looking for one ... I decided to install a plate and avoid the potential issues of being pulled over for no plate (pretty sure I've got enough reasons to avoid police since anything past 2nd gear is trouble )

This is before I swapped it out for a plate holder ...

Re: Where oh WHERE can I find Plasti-Dip?

well, I went to home hardware today, and they HAVE the elusive plasti-dip!

Although they didn't have the spray cans. I ordered one. $15.99. Seems steep, but I guess considering how hard I've looked, I can't complain.

Is that grey or black? can't tell. I'm looking for a black one. There are 2 on the classifieds for about $100CDN and Neil@Owasco made me a nice offer for $120 for a new one.

I'd take it and plastidip it black, but might be nice to just get one already Audi black.

p.s. did you already buy a plate holder? I have an all black plate holder. I painted it using a few coats of duplicolor bumper black. It's not ideal, but if plastidipped, it would be perfect.

Re: Where oh WHERE can I find Plasti-Dip?

Im gonna have to say i saw some pretty good looking plasti dip jobs over the summer. But unfortunately.. its weak vs. what ever comes at your car from the front! Rocks, sand, or even bugs n stuff! Only place i would recomment plasti dip is on the sides or back like the valance or chrome trim. If you put that in the front of the car, be prepared to redo the job over every 12 months at the most

Any Home Hardware will order it for you. My top & bottom grills took a whole can, but it's held up fine since last summer. The rear chrome trim under the bumper will be done in the Spring.

    Easy +1 for me.

hard to say...lots of the folks do their grill (especially the B6 guys) and they seem to last.

What didn't last was the 8-10 coats of duplicolour+adhesion promotor that I painted my plate holder with. After a year it had a bunch of little nicks that showed the lighter grey colour underneath.

Unless you're driving through some extremely bad roads very then every 12 months you're gonna need to respray more than just a grill ha.
for $15.99 or whatever it is...
Its not bad at all or you can buy the oem one

I know most of you have found it by now but I thought this would help those that just want to order online.
