anybody know the closest paint match color for brilliant black?

I am trying to paint my front grille but dont want to pay the $60 they charge at the auto shop so I want to do a DIY using autozone brand spray paint.

Can anybody tell me the closest color code match to brilliant black?

For example - gloss black? matte black? Black? Universal black, Mica black etc?

umm.. well its not matte black. after that i'm pretty sure any of the glossy finish ones will be pretty close...

lol depending on what there going to do 60 is an awesome price to paint a front grille. it takes about one hour to precisley match the color alone (~40/hr) if they are going to sand the entire thing down, and especially i would recommend priming the chrome peices. that 60 is not a "price", more like a steal if its from a quality shop.

very true but I just dont see myself paying that type of money for something that I could do at home myself. LOL. im a very cheap guy and love to experiment with car stuff.

thanks surfer D . I think ill order a bottle of this for the future but I wanted to see if anybody knew a close match from the dupli color (autozone) spray cans? I heard from someone that the black gloss is very close to matching the brilliant black.

I had bought a black color dupli color spray can and tried it on my front grille. the job came out great but the colors did not match.lol. so I am willing to sand it back down again and repaint it to a black that matches the brilliant black.

Yea dupli-color and plasti-kote don't have much in the way of euro colors.
They are really good with US and Japan colors.
Paintscratch is pricey but they really match well.
Don't bother with their clear unless you need a lot. The small cans from local places will do.
