    Code: P0068 MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation

So I'm throwing the code on my 06 A6 3.2L fsi V6 Quattro

The dealer i'm buying it from is going to fix it for free but I want to know what it could be.

Would some Maf cleaner possibly fix the problem?
It has 96,000 miles so who knows how dirty it is.

I tried doing some research and havn't come up with any good information.

Bad Maf? (Audi said $80 for a new one)
Bad throttle body? I was told by Audi it's one piece and the TB is just over $800.

It's not my problem but I want to know whats going on and whats going to get fixed.

    Thanks!

Re: Code: P0068 MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation

So I must be stupid, This is my first A6.

I took apart the intake and didn't find a MAF. So I'm gussing it's got a Map.

Now question is, Any help on what to do for the code?
The dealer is looking at it next week. but if it's something I can fix I'd rather do that.

Re: Code: P0068 MAP/MAF - Throttle Position Correlation

    16452/P0068/000104 - MAP/MAF <-> Throttle Position Correlation

    Possible Symptoms
    Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) active

    Possible Causes
Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70/MAF) or Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71/MAP) faulty

    Possible Solutions
Check Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70/MAF) or Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor (G71/MAP)

If they're going to fix it for free of charge, why don't you just let them fix it?

If you haven't bought it yet, have someone scan that car w/ VAGCOM.

It's an old update. I found this thread searching for something and thought I would update you guys.

I ended up giving up after taking apart the intake system and making sure everything was good and tight.

Audi charged me 120 to look and find the problem. A few hours later they found the problem and said it was the Throttle body Dirty.
Well they had already cleaned it, Test drove it and found it fixed the problem and everything was good to go. And to my surprise they told me not to worry about the extra labor and tech cost.
So they only charged me the Scan fee.

In short, it was a dirty maf. Audi cleaned it and problem solved.

    Thanks
