    245/35/19 on 19x8.5 ET37 - OK?

Will 245/35/19 tires work well on a stock ride height Avant?

I found a set of SSR 3-pc wheels locally that look interesting and I may pick them up.

I know this is 1.5% taller than stock, which is OK as it will fill out the wheel wells better anyway.

    Wheels are 19x8.5 with ET37

Seems to me they should work well, no?

Seems fine to me. Might want some 5mm spaces to push them out a little.

that's perfect actually...although you'll get chastised for not lowering the car when you post pics

I'm 18x8.5, ET38 on 245.40.18 tires. That's identical (sizewise both height and width) to your proposed setup, save the 1mm offset difference. 1mm is the white part on your fingernail that you trim.

Won't rub, and should be nicely flushed out, but not pokey.

My setup (and your proposed setup) is 19.3 mm more flush (further out/aggressive) at each corner. That's about 13/16"...and that's a good thing on these cars. Also means your track is 1 5/8" wider than stock.

    Here's a visual reference

Not a fan of how they look but as everyone said... fitment not a problem.

Personally I like Eddie Man's setup.
    19" s8 rep wheels.

I also think 19" Rs6 rep wheels would look great.

I ran 265-30-19 ET37 for a while on 19x8.5 wheels with a ride height of 24.75" and only rubbed on occasion with big bumps. Just to give you an idea of what the limits are.

Are you sure on those numbers? What is the offset of the stock 8" wheel? According to my calculations, for an 8.5" wheel with ET38mm to sit 19.3mm more flush, the stock 8" wheel would have to have an offset of 51mm

    Thanks MOF for the prop!!!
And yes Scott, you should be fine with that tire/wheel setup.
If fact, that is very near perfect in sizing on all aspects.

    stock is 45mm

    stock vs new
    45 vs 37 = 8mm
    8.0 vs 8.5" = 6.3mm (half the difference)
    235 vs 245 = 5mm (half the difference)

    19.3mm

Maybe my method of calculating is wrong?

You forgot to carry the one, and THEN take the square root.

They are Hartmann Wheels which are made in their foundry in Italy...
    They've served me very well.
They've also did a great job in freshin'up my OEMplus theme, much to my liking :)

You are absolutely correct. I was thinking ONLY about the wheel, not the extra 5 mm added by the 10mm wider tire.

they'll be perfect. I had BBS RS-GTs on my old B7 and they had an ET of 38 and I had 245/35s on them, they were perfect. You dont need spacers either.

for our 19" fitments with a slightly more aggressive offset than the one you specified, is anywhere between a 235/35/19 and a 245/35/19, both will work at stock height.

i have a question thats slightly off topic, sorry to steal the tread, but how bad does a b6 look with a set of 19s ET35 on stock suspension? i want wheels, but not sure i can afford to lower the car at the same time.
