    Re: Central Electric Control Module

^^^ what are you talking about? Do you mean the Central Control Module (CCM)? If you have a part number you can always check ECS or GenuineAudi Parts.

    Re: Central Electric Control Module

    talking about this:

"The Central Electric Control Module controls the wipers. It is located just above the horizontal row of relays under the driver's side dash, to the left of the pedals. If water gets into the electronics box at the left end of the plenum under the windshield, it will overflow from the ECU box down to the CECM module inside the cabin. And the way the module is installed, with the bottom facing UP, any water from above will get inside the module.
Try removing the CECM, remove the housing, then rinse the electronics with denatured isopropol alcohol, then dry using a hair dryer. Drying out the CECM should correct the wiper running with the switch OFF"

I had water damage on mine and i had to pull the fuse for my windshield wipers cuz they wont turn off. so i need to get a new one, but hopefully i can find a used one. Dont know the part number?

    Re: Central Electric Control Module

if you removed yours, then you should see a part number on it. From the location you are telling me about, sounds like the HVAC controls. thats the only thing i can think of that is facing upside down and above the relays.

Hi Diztek, thank you for this posting. I am going trough this as we speak. I made the mistake of taking my A4 through the car wash and then when I used my wipers a half hour later the same thing happened.

I pulled over and removed the wiper fuse from the panel.

I've changed the motor then the wiper switch and still they will not turn off.

Did you ever find the number for the module and did this fix your issue?

    Thanks

    Tony
