I think it adds a little touch of custom, but I'm not going to do it if it means I'll get made fun of at my next Audi meet. That's why I'm putting it out there.

Yay... because I did the same thing and it looks awesome! I think the badge looks much better on the grille than the fenders so I removed the S Line fender badges and used one of them on the grille instead.

An S-Line badge on the grille is fine if your car is an S-Line since its not a misrepresentation.

Re: Replace "Quattro" with "S-Line" badge on my grille, yay or nay?

    yay,nay or gay?

I say nay. Quattro is cool. S-line sounds a little...meh. Not quiet an S/RS car...so not sure why advertise it. I find it weird that Audi puts that badge on the car in the first place.

It also carries no weight in the enthusiast world...the only people who know what it is are Audi drivers, and really nobody lusts after s-line cars. "I have an S-line" doesn't really move the needle. Just as "I have an M-package" or "I have an AMG appearance package" doesn't.

If you like the aesthetics of that badge, then do it...but I like the Quattro badge.

Re: Replace "Quattro" with "S-Line" badge on my grille, yay or nay?

I agree that the badge is nice in the grille, and is something to be proud of and represent...

But it should only be placed in the grille in exchange for removing the fender badges. Potentially having two S-Line badges in one viewpoint would look lame IMO. Then you can use the argument, it is only and S-Line, no need to remind me twice!

Excellent photos once again... I'm a lot more tempted now after seeing these. But I do see you removed the side badges a-la B7, which keeps the look clean. Hmm...

BTW, rebadging my grille was not to say that S Line is more important than quattro, but merely an aesthetic decision that the S Line badge is more visually pleasing than the quattro badge. IMO, buying an Audi without quattro is blasphemous.
