i had an aold roomate that had a fully built motor with a 35 r in a 2000, it put down 411 whp on wastegate [ i think 11 lb spring] it was like riding inside a motorcycle. it kept eating transmisions and rears though so he sold it. such a fun car.

Actually its not that extreme at all...s2000 motors love boost. I honestly would not be surprised if his block was stock. On higher octane gas if i recall there was an s2000 in the high 600's or low 700's on a stock block... eventually cracked a sleeve. It's not uncommon though to see them at 400-500whp pump gas. It's not that expensive either. Their rear ends are kind of weak stock so obviously 500whp has to be driven responsibly or else you will destroy the rear end.

What people don't really know is that a lot of the honda motors can make a lot of boost on stock internals. I think every Honda series motor (except the d series) has had people make 400+whp on stock bottom ends. I think not too long ago there was a stock k24 bottom end(TSX) with a stock k20 head (rsx type s) make about 650whp.

The block is fairly stout and all the internals are forged to handle the 8+ or 9k rpms. 400+whp is not hard for them, plus they have alot less drivetrain loss then we do. haha.
