Rim Repair shops in CT?

Hey guys,

So I have a slow leak in my driver's side front tire. After going to a few shops and the stealership we have diagnosed that I must have hit some type of pothole and slightly bent the interior lip of the rim, which has broken the seal with the tire and caused an air leak... Audi said they would charge at least $140 to fix the rim and $40 just to take the wheel off and on. So thats at least $180...

I also have another big problem. I have lug nut locks on the rims but no key for them (thank you used car dealer). Audi said that they are aftermarket locks so they would have to remove and replace them for ~$100 and probably tack on that wonderful $115 / hr audi labor.

There are some other shops which can take the locks off and put new ones on cheaper but would not be able to fix the rim too... Audi can at least do both in one shot for me, which is somewhat helpful as I need the car to commute to and from work (9-5) which makes multiple days and multiple shops somewhat of a hassle.

Anyone got any suggestions of shops or fixes? Or do I just bite the bullet and pay the dealership? Guess I should mention I live in Fairfield and work in Stamford, so within 30m - 1hr of either of those is my limit.

Hey i live in stamford a few years ago i got one of my racing heart wheels fixed on my maxima there was like a crack in it and it was leakin air. I Went to SONIC WELDING on the west side. They did a pretty good job but it wasnt cheap like 100 a rim or something like that.

Precision Wheel Service (800-FIX-BEND) in Branford, CT.

I have had several sets fixed there from bent 3 piece to cracked rims. They repair HRE, iForged, etc. also. I was quoted $240 for a set of 4 3 piece rims with curbage to take them apart and redo them for a friend a few months back.

You would need to get the rim off though I'm sure, but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Are you open to going to Northern Westchester...about 10 minutes south of Greenwich? If so, I went to a great shop that does amazing work, but I don't have their info handy...if so, let me know and I will get you their info.

Thanks guys for all your input. I'm still weighing my options. That one down in Westchester might be a good idea. I also might go visit my family in MA and there is a shop or 2 up there that may do it. Once again thanks and I'll be sure to let you know where I get it done and my $.02. Thanks!

I'm taking my car there when I get it back. They quoted me $80 per rim to fix a bend on the inside lip. Fucking potholes.

A search led me to this thread. Thanks for the info everyone. I called ProFromance Indistries and they quoted me $175/rim on the phone. None of mine are bent, just curb damage. Their quote is higher than I'm willing to spend. I'm in the Hudson Valley, NY. Does anyone have experience with another stop in my area?

Need a small bend and a small 1" crack on 1 wheel fixed and all 4 have curb/paint crack . I only care about getting the wheel curb fixed not caring about painting the whole wheel
