Recommended tire pressure/PSI B8 A4 Avant with 255/35/19's?

Hey now; anyone know the recommended PSI front and rear for the Avant? I just picked up my new wheels and tires and they set them at 46 all around. Pretty sure they need to be different front and back since that's what my door sticker indicates. Also thinking that's pretty high? My door sticker only lists for the stocker 17's that came on it. Anyone with an S-Line Avant with 19's that could check for me or anyone know of the top of their head?

I have the same wheels config on my A4 sedan, and I opted for 36 psi

My car came with those wheel/tire sizes and the door sticker indicates 38 (F) and 42 (R), though I set the fronts to 40 instead.

My tires feel a little bit like they need to get filled, though my TPMS sensor hasn't come on yet. I noticed that the cap has an N on it. What is everyone's thoughts on filling tires with nitrogen? Is it worth it?

The way it was explained to me, Nitrogen can only be truly effective if the tires are FULLY inflated with it. Since there is already a decent amount of air in the tires before they are inflated with nitrogen, your pressures will still fluctuate pretty close to normal with temperature. I've seen plenty of so-called independent tests that indicate no real long term benefit from using nitrogen, but never actually tried it myself since I check my pressure regularly and have an air compressor at home. It wouldn't make sense to top nitrogen filled tires with "regular air."

Yup...haha...I JUST finished installing mine no less than 5 minutes ago!!! A 'lil unusual of an install but looks great (like it should've in the first place!) :/

Dealer ordered mine. $150 (ouch) JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET THE 80mm ONES FOR YOUR AVANT!!!

I learned the hard way trusting the parts guy. You need part #8K0-071-762

They just slip on...very tightly. Took a little "finesse" aka rubber mallet. Just didn't seem right initially but came out stylie! Highly recommend vs. having a muffler shop cut off the tips and putting on the cheapo $20 ones from Pepboys. They do appear to be very high quality also.

I've had very good luck with a mix of 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen, and the rest mostly Argon and and a little CO2 for good measure. Most gas stations sell a mix like this for around $0.75 for three minutes, and many offer it as a free service.

Good eye deMOROlized! Mine are not OEM; they're your run-of-the-mill silver/grey powdercoat...same as on the 17" stock 5 star wheels I had before. I elected to get those, not only for cost reasons (I actually bid on a set of OEM's with tires on ebay), but also because I wasn't sure how the gunmetal color would look with the black and chrome on my car. Came out better than I expected :)

Hi the door sticker on my A4 sedan says 41psi (front) and 36psi (rear) for a 255/35/19 set up. This is for the lighter load (3 pax) and there is a different set up if you assume 5 pax (which I can't recall)

Blake, funny for the bias (mine says more for front whereas yours is for rear) to be different given ours are both quattro sedans? Maybe I am reading the diagram wrong :-)

That's strange? Same cars; different PSI? Could it be a Country thing in order to achieve higher fuel mileage ratings in the US?

I always thought you would need more in the front to account for the weight of the engine.
