5x112 to 5x100 Adapters

Hey ziners,
Looking to see if anyone has used adapters to go from 5x112 to 5x100. I searched and found some posts that recommended getting different wheels. I would like to hear from people who are actually using them from a specific company and their experience with them. Any wobbles, vibrations, etc.

I have a chance to pick up a set of wheels that have a high offset and they are really at a great price. Adapters would work so i just want to get some opinions on the adpaters before i pull the trigger on the wheels. Any reviews would be helpful, thanks.

How much would it cost to bore the bolt holes to 112mm? That would seem the much easier route, unless the drilling will mess up the integrity (strength) of the wheel. Plus adaptors are at least 25mm.

I have used 5x112 to 5x00 for my old gti, currently 5x120 to 5x112.. I would reccomend adaptec or wheelsadapters but the owner does not seem to be tat interested in working lately so stick to adaptec :) ohh and make sure you order hubcentric adapters

side note on this, I found a good deal on axxis MODS, they are 18s, and apparently i was told they aren't our bolt pattern, it looks universal and I was able to put them on, I dont get it,how did i get them on then? i think he said they are 5x100 and 5x110

i havent found a local place to redrill. The offset on the wheels is 50mm so i have enough room to run an adapter. they are also 18x7.5 so i shouldnt have any issues with the offset.

Most machine shops should be able to bore out the holes

My brother and I used Eibach adapters (5x100 to 5x112) to put my Audi wheels onto his Subaru for autocross applications. It works but you have to account for the 1" spacing for fender clearance. It made the 18x9.5's look bigger than they really are. Some folks would probably say that putting such a wide spacer puts stress on the wheel bearings. I guess it does over time but we never ran into wheel bearing issues while running 285 race tires with 1" spacers. The only problem we had was a snapped half shaft. But I suspect it broke because the car holds sustained 1.2g's (1.6g max) in the corners and we autox pretty much every other weekend.
