So which screws adjust the bumper and headlight position?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So i was just thinking about which screws are actually used for adjusting certain parts of the bumper or headlight. I'm not talking about aiming, but rather the headlight itself. I want to fix my bumper so its aligned properly so thats why im posting here.

I saw this pic that fly posted:

Then there is the screws behind the fender liner.

I have a non-sline bumper if that makes any difference with screws.

    Any tips?

Dont know about the headlight but for bumber height/alingment you cannot see them until you take off the bumber. Or atleast loosen it up. They are black rubber looking things on either side above the crash bar.

You cant see either one from that picture. The headlight alignment screws are the big white ones and you'll see the bumper height adjusters after you take the bumper off.

I know which ones are the bumper height adjustments.

Which are the big white ones?
Are they visible on that pic?

That pic is for aligning the actual headlight housing or aiming the headlights?

I know how to aim them but im not sure if the housing itself has screws or w/e to keep it flush with the bumper, or do i just tigthen all the screws on the light with no worries ?

Re: So which screws adjust the bumper and headlight position?

Ive only taken my headlights off to bake them (3 screws) and I believe you just tighten them and the white screw 12sA4 pointed out is for leveling. Someone should chime in.

You can't adjust the height of the housing, only the headlight beam which is what that white screw is for.

Re: So which screws adjust the bumper and headlight position?

The fat blue ones are the headlight-housing alignment (in/out).
The green ones adjusts the bumper.
The big white ones ontop of the headlight-housing adjusts the lightbeam, sideways I think. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I thought those ^^^ were just securing screws, but I could be wrong also. Bottom line, the white screws are the ones that adjust the headlight beam.

What kind of adjustment to the bumper?

I'm not worried about beam adjusting right now, just the bumper and the housing.

Are those screws in anyway connected to the the black height adjusters that are seen when the bumper is off then?

Those screws, the green ones, are the hight adjusters! And yes, for the last time, those will be visible once you take the bumper off. And all the screws in the front are T30. The ones inside the wheelhouse are T25 and 10mm nuts

Ah, I thought the only way to get to the height adjusters is only when you take the bumper off. Guess i was wrong.
Makes it easier to adjust then.

Yes, the bumper height adjustment (shown in green with the bumper on on a previous picture) go to the black rubber looking thing that sits on top of the crash bar. That adjusts your bumper height.

Re: So which screws adjust the bumper and headlight position?

Ah, I never knew screws actually reach there.
Guess ill have to play around with them a bit.

Can they be adjusted with the bumper on but loose at the sides (where the fender liner is?)
Is that a good approach or will i be forced to pretty much take off the entire bumper.

Re: So which screws adjust the bumper and headlight position?

I honestly do not know. I would imagine you can use an extension and adjust with the bumper on. Just try it out and if not, its really easy to take the bumper off. Its only held on by ~5 screws.

Having problems with fitting your Dectanes Coder..?
I see on mine that the fit is not 100%.......You'll have to live with some minor glitches.
Post up if you can adjust the bumper with it still on. I think I did.....Can't really remember.
