Just the front LED and blackened rear valance + painted tow hook. Possible upgrade this month: Black Ultraleggera 18", exhaust (FI).

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

    fsttrp-

The black valance looks nice...on a white car, wouldn't look too good on my black S4.

When I checked, FI doesn't make an exhaust for the convertible, I know JHM/FI is working on a B6 convertible exhaust right now, but my guess that is a few months away and then I was told they'll begin work on a B7 exhaust...if there is enough interest.

    Have you heard otherwise?

I was looking for a white cab for the longest time but couldn't find one, I'm jealous of yours.

Here are a few shots of mine... suspension is Eibach Prokit springs, with 15mm rear spacers, 12mm front.

Looks good. Are you running Eibachs on your stock shocks and if so, how do they feel?

I'm debating between getting springs and sticking with stock shocks or moving to a full coilover setup.

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

I'm still on the stock sport shocks. The ride is a little rougher, which I imagine could be improved by putting in Koni FSD or equivalent, or running full coilovers. But the small sacrifice in smoothness is more than balanced out by the increase in aesthetics, in my opinion.

eMacPaul, could you get front side shots on how the wheel spacers fit? I am thinking of getting a spacer. So far I am considering 10mm all around.

Guys, Here are the shots of my cab. I have installed Axiom 503 wheels in black anodized center with brushed lips, Stoptech BBK with matching rear disks and brake lines and an H&R coilover suspension. I just ordered the Caractere kit and grill (minus the rear wing) from NAM and the APR rear exhaust from Geman Motoring. Let me know what you think. Sorry for the dirty pics, but it has been raining for the past couple of days.

    EMPANI-

Looks good, liking the car, the suspension setup and tint looks great.

You're giving me some ideas on how to mod my black S4 cabrio. Please post some pictures once you get the exhaust installed and what are your thoughts on the H&R Coilovers? I'm looking into getting a set.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the (+) feedback. The wheels are 20". I love and endorse the ride of the H&R's. The ride feels almost stock. I did order the S4 (22mm sway bar) and should have it installed early next week. I will post and let you know if anything changes.

eMacPaul, thanks for the pics; that looks great. I like how you did the clear blinker mod. How did you tint the side front marker? Did you use spray or overlay?

On another topic, I was at PepBoys getting the K&N intake and I happen to cross the wheel section and notice that they sell wheel spacers for 7.99!!! Are these safe to use? What troubles am I looking at here?

I got smoked replacements, similar to these but I don't remember which site I got them from, i think they were a little cheaper: http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_A4-.../Side_Markers/

Are they plastic or aluminum? Does it cover the whole hub and have a hubcentric ring to support the wheel?

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

It looks like some kind of metal, either steel or alu. It is flat and have larger hole in the center and holes around the sides for the bolts to go through. I gues it is not hubcentric but maybe the stock will be long enough to rise through it? I wonder if this thing will break....hahahaha. 7.99 though.....

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

It probably wouldn't break, but if it's over 5mm thick I don't think you'll have enough of the centering ring to actually mount the wheel on.

I measured on my car that the front centering rings stick out 13.6mm from the hub, in the back it was 15.3mm. I'm not sure why the difference, or if that's consistent across all cars. ut the 18" 5-spoke S-Line wheels had 6.5mm before they reached the center bore diameter. I got my spacers made by Matt at GetYourWheels.com (email: matt at getyourwheels.com). I imagine he'd be happy to help you out. I think it was about $170 for all four spacers plus longer bolts.

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but my other cars have wheel nuts instead of screws. Now on these other car, the wheel is pretty much secure on the screw section coming out of the hub. Does the Audi wheel relies on the hub centric for support or the screws will be strong enough to support the weight of the car like the other cars that have wheel nuts instead?

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

I assume the hubcentric part is there for a purpose... but the bolts may well be able to support the wheel entirely on their own. I'd post this question in the main B7 section to get broader audience.

Here are some pix of my ABT install: two piece chin spoilers, three piece rear deck spoiler, shift knob, badge and floor mats.
A few comments before everyone chimes in:

    1. Car was not washed or detailed yet - in or out. Still a little cold when pictures were taken (I'm lazy).
    2. I have no desire to lower my car, it's too bumpy already.
    3. I like my chrome grill surround, not a huge fan of black out surrounds.
    4. The Milltek exhaust is almost flush now - make sure to hammer it all the way back (last picture).

All that pictures... but none really hit me. I think 18" is the perfect size for our cab. May be 19" max. But I am not digging the pop out front tires due to excessive spacer nor the oversize wheels. I really don't know what I want from my cab...

That is why I am only doing lightning upgrades for now.

The third photo (white US Spec S4 cab) is the best looking one there, good looking aftermarket rims, 19" and a nice drop.

fsttrp - I think you should get those cars for your white S4.

^-- +1 that was the "19" max" I am referring to, since that looks very clean. However, at the moment I am considering black wheels (I know I'm probably going to get tired of it in a few months, but I can't stop thinking about it since I have never own one before). I am not interested in dropping the car since this is my DD.

    fsttrp-

You and I are on the same page, I'm looking into some black/gunmetal rims with a polished lip.

You might like these (http://www.audizine.com/classifieds/...t=19556&cat=48) - basically the same rim but black.

I'm debating about whether I'm going to get tired of the black/gunmetal look on the car, my old car had Volks that were gunmetal with a polished lip and never got tired of those, but this is an Audi - who knows. At least they won't look dirty that often

That's on top of the reasoning list. hahaha. I think we are on the same mindset.

So this is what's ahead this week; I am currently waiting on Vag Com cable (cheap eBay ones) for euro light, 6000k D1S headlight and xenon white LED city light. Still waiting for the package... After that I will be gone for a year for overseas project and when I come back it will be wheels and exhaust.

    Re: B6/B7 Convertible Mod Photos

I think GM will look best with white cars. Matte black on a black car without a polished lip looks like it has no tires. I have had three sets of 18's and they look tiny. It rides a lot better, but the 19's look great. I think 20's are pushing it only because the sidewall is so thin (30 series). If we could fit a 35 series on 20's and not rub, I'd try a set of 20's.
