** 1) Shave down the center posts of the lip. They are too tall for the car so they need to be cut down. I shaved mine down to about half their original size. Just place the lip under your car to see how it lines up and you can play around with how tall you want them to be depending on the look you like, but it will be necessary to cut off some of the length. It's just all preference as to how much to shave.
You will also need to shave down all of those drill tabs along the lip so the lip can sit flush and smooth against the bottom of the bumper.
I used a dremel for all of this and it was pretty simple.
I also pre drilled some holes in the lip until just when the screws were about to peak through the other end. This just makes drilling MUCH easier when your under the car and gives you some guides when drilling.
Now the lip is ready to be installed.
** 2) Jack the car up in the front. This isn’t necessary, but will make drilling into the bottom of your bumper much easier. - I just jacked up one side of the front and I was able to get under my bumper just fine.
** 3) Use duct tape to position the lip onto your bumper. Use plenty and get a good snug fit. Step back and take a look at it and keep correcting its position using the duct tape until it sits basically how you will want it once it's drilled.
** 4) You will need 3/4" self drilling screws (preferably stainless steel to avoid any future rust issues). I used about 16 total (8 on each side). Some may use more or less, it all just depends. I didn’t drill into every drill tab on the lip. I skipped a few and just drilled in the ones I felt were necessary.
** 5) So now your lip is taped to the bumper, and your car is jacked up so you can drill underneath it. So stick your head under the bumper and start drilling the lip into place. You should have small pre drilled holes in the lip as a guide, but pre drilling into the bumper is NOT necessary since you have self drilling screws.
I started with the tabs closest to the middle of the lip and worked my way out a bit. Then I went to the ends of the lip and made sure to position those nicely. Then I went back and drilled in a few more holes in the middle of the lip to ensure everything was tight and drilled down nicely.
The lip is not a perfect shape for the bumper. So dont be afraid to bend it some (especially at the ends) and shape the lip as you are drilling so it can follow the lines of the bumper nicely.
I think thats everything. I will update with some pictures later. Feel free to ask any questions, or to let me know if I missed anything that I should add. Hope this helps someone.
