    2.0 FSI Tuning

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a 2003 2.0 FSI FWD A4, and have done hours and hours of searching to see if I can squeeze any more than the standard 150bhp out of this great engine.

So far, everything I have found has been for the newer 2.0 TFSI engines, and have found nothing for the non-turbo FSIs.

I have contacted Revo tuning to see if they can do anything to my engine, but so far have not had an answer from them.

Does anyone else here have a 2.0 FSI? Done anything to it?

Is it possible for me to add a turbo to the car? If so, what else would be required and any recommendations of parts?

On a side note, I found this product called a Sprint Booster that connects to your accellerator pedal. Does anyone here use one? Is it worth the £180?

    Thanks for any help

Ohhh 2.0 non turbo. Damn man, not a very moddable platform for sure. I would get a new motor and have it built because there isnt too much you can do on a N/A 2.0.

    Re: 2.0 FSI Tuning

Damn, I was hoping I could do something.

Nope, im in the UK and this was one of the options.

I have a 4.2 V8 out of an S8 sitting in my garage, maybe put that in it? ;)

What would be the best and easiest engine to put in it? A modern 2.0 TFSI?

I will try and post a picture of it tomorrow, along with my new wheels!

What about a 3.2 FSI? Is it possible on a FWD?

This is Europe so things are different, although I was still unaware of exactly what engine this is. I have seen a European B6 with the FSI motor but I think it was a later model year

Ya, I keep forgetting not everyone is from around here. I could have sworn the FSI wasnt till like 05 or so. I have an 04.5 and that was never an available option (then again, as you said I am not in europe)

It is ashame its not more tuneable, because it is a very nice smooth engine. Is there anything I can do at all? Or is it not worth spending money on this engine and instead spending the money on installing a different engine?

    Re: 2.0 FSI Tuning

It is a N/A motor and you can unlock a whopping 12HP. Throttle sensitivity can be improved.

REVO UK and APR ROW has tuning as well as the rest of the Euro Tuners ABT Sportsline does as well.

Thsi motor is not available in North America, so there are no performance products for it here.

    Re: 2.0 FSI Tuning

So I think for now, Ill get a Sprint Booster to improve the throttle response, get an RS4 rear sway to upgrade the handling, and I'm thinking FSDs. Then maybe when I have more money look into getting a new engine installed. It's way too much for me to do, I like tinkering but don't have that sort of expertise. Are there any good companies in the UK for this sort of thing that people know of?

Welcome from Texas! As with any car you can mod so the engine is more efficient, thusly making more power. I would say start with a better flowing intake system, and a less restrictive, possibly larger exhaust. If there really arent any other options after that you can reduce the weight, and rotational mass, both will help with acceleration and handling without adding power.

No one here is going to know about your motor because it never came to North America but you have an ALT.Send me a PM to discuss what is available for it.

    I don't understand?

I think the only way to go will be a 2.0 TFSI. Looking at APR tuning, they can take it up to 400+ BHP with a Stage 3. I won't go that far I think, but a Stage 1 of 250 BHP would be fantastic! I might look in to doing this further in into the year, going to do the suspension and brakes first. On that point, I want to change the brakes to Porsche Boxster calipers. I have looked around a lot for the brackets needed, but can't find anywhere that sells them seen as ECS don't do them seperately anymore. Does anyone have a link to somewhere that sells them?

    There were like 6-7 engine choices in UK for the B6 A4. (1.6, 1.8, 1.8T, 3.0, 2.5TDI, 3.0TDI, 1.9TDI)

I may be slightly wrong when it comes to displacement as I looked at this info like 3 years ago.
