came in the mail the other day and noticed it has 3 springs (one in the DV, a blue one, and a yellow one). i put it on the way it came and it is LOUD much like a blow off valve.

Is there a specific spring im supposed to use and whats the difference between the 3??

    thanks guys

Here's some info. You shouldn't really hear it at all, maybe a bit if you have an intake.

    http://www.speedlifemotorsport.com/fodivafarocl.html

Comes with two extra springs (yellow and blue, green is installed) so you can tune it to your boost application.

    Valve Spring color coding

    Green - 5-15 PSI

    Yellow - 15-23 PSI

    Blue - 23-30 PSI

    Red - 30 + PSI

okay so if you have a green spring in the dv can you only boost up to 15psi. how does that work?

i bought the car chipped and with the forge dv already on the car and opened up to see it has the green spring inside...i know it should be spiking higher than 15....should i get my hands on a yellow spring??

if you are chipped, i believe you should ahve the yellow spring in there.. that is what i have heard most chipped guys use.

Re: For those with Forge 007 DV..

The green spring will make the boost curve surge when running more psi than what it is rated for. I am not sure if the spring is what is holding you back at 15psi.

You have a choice with adjusting the springs. You can add shims or decide to change the spring alotgether. For example, you can add to shims and have the green spring in vs just having the yellow spring in. The shims come with the spring kit.

Edit: Why does your first post say you have the 3 springs, while post number 3 says you bought the car with a chip and 007 dv?

thanks for the info guys. ordered a spring kit for $25 comes with all the springs and shims so ill see what the difference will make. i know i have a slight boost leak coming from the valve cover/intake mani area but its very faint and just cant put my finger on where the leak is coming from.

the leak is probablt under the IM. they are the big ones that crack/ break and are a PITA to change...

its none of the vacuum lines under the IM. i deleted most and plugged them up real good and did leak test after. i plan on new gaskets and perhaps new injector seats sometime this year when i figure out if ill be polishing or poweder coating the VC and IM. so hopefully that ish gets fixed in the process.
