I <heart> your car. i wanted atlas gray so bad when i got my car.

That is a slick amp install. I have plans to do something similar with mine.

    Thanks Brian!
Every year I go through this "phase" of selling my car.
My wife and I take public transportation to/from work daily and only get to drive on the weekends. So they just sit in the garage! And when we do drive, we alternate between her Vortech MK3 GTI VR6 and the Audi. The GTI is a 96 and is under 70K miles!!

Thanks! I had it setup differently before, kinda over the spare tire area... but it was a pain swap the full size spare out whenever I swapped the 17's for the 18's. So I had it redone. The amp board uses the same ultra-suede that is used on the custom seat inserts!

    Wow nice car!

Unfortunately, mods don't really bump up the resale much, as I'm sure you know. Honestly, I think you should be happy to get $15,000... but a car like that is hard to price because there are so few that ever go on the market.

You can definitely make significantly more if you part out the car including the body kit.

Looks really nice and well put together Avant - I'd have kept the HU OEM but each to their own.

I suspect the answer to your value question is going to be much less that you'd hope.

I'm about to replace my Avant and given that I'd probably get about 10c on every dollar I've put into it over the last 2 years I'm just going to keep it as a loadhauler/ski car.

Same, my car is not worth enough to sell. I will keep it until is becomes too expensive to repair, then part it (while sobbing and crying of course).

    What is the HU OEM??

My target is around 20K in my pocket. Most likely you guys are right about the value... especially in this economy! I will most likely drive it forever, and love every minute of it!!
I just feel bad sometimes that I drive so little and never get to go to any of the big shows or meets! If I was my car, i'd be pissed! LOL

Head Unit - Original Equipment Manufacturer

in other words a Symphony II/II+ or RNS-E

not a big deal but I personally prefer the look of the stock units in the Audi interior given that its one of the differentiating features of our cars...

if you can get 20K, I say take it - I have about 15K in mods in my '04 (85K miles) and whilst not as complete as yours I really thing I'd get about 15K for it

Ah ok, that makes sense. I was offered up to 18.5 last year, but I backed out. And wanted to keep the car. Think I will do this again! Haha

Keep it...youll regret selling it...15k is a good price but with this market you may have to sit on it for a bit.
