those wheels are a great fit. Any thoughts on a titanium option in the future? Or will that be reserved for when sales get stale? Interesting fact though...$4,300 more gets you into an S4 (base un-loaded model though). So you sacrifice a ton of interior options and $4300 for the 3.0T engine...Audi's pricing is starting to make some sense as that's a tough choice.

Alex, I have a 2009 A4 Avant NON-sport NON-sline, and I have a contact who has an S-line sport sedan but changed to coilovers. Could I buy his s-line/sport package suspension components and have them installed on my car to achieve the 20mm lower than stock ride height? I'm a total neophyte with suspension stuff and have no idea. Thanks.

This is an extremely tough choice.

Loaded 2.0T with a chip, or a base S4 without all the toys. If you're hung up on an Avant (I love them), then the choice is made for you.

Did you ever get the chip Sakimano. How is it?

I've chosen to further complicate the choice by considering a used RS4 for the price of a loaded new S4. I had never considered the RS4's; just assumed they were too expensive, but am seeing them listed for mid to high 60's. So I went out and drove one this past weekend. Good Christ is all I can say. The noise... the glorious noise!

The above question might become easier if you factor in gas milage into the calculation.

I wish it did, but even with rough calculations, it doesn't sway me one way or another. I assumed another $100/month in gas (which I think is still high), which is $1200 ove the course of the year.

If I can't afford that, I probably shouldn't be considering this kind of car.

I think the decision will be made when I actually get to see and touch a B8 S4 (hint hint, hurry up and get yours ;)
