"The coupe is instantly responsive; it accelerates fast, going from 0-100 km in only 4.6 seconds. The gear changes are sharp, smooth and swift; the steering is precise. Weighing in at 1,450 kg, it's lightweight, nimble and easy to control. Tire grip is amazing. Around corners and bends, the tires stick like glue to the pavement. In a straight line, it's stable and secure."

"It's clear that the Audi TT RS is a little pocket rocket; a speed demon perfectly at home on the track."

"The Audi TT RS is a purist diving machine with explosive performance."

    Lets hope we get it!!!!

question: Why was The Globe reviewing the car if we're not going to get it? Usually the car companies pay for the media members who review a car...not sure why they'd pay for a Canadian outlet's reporter if we're not getting it. Am I wrong on that (re: paying the bills)

I believe some of the journalists that reviews these cars also have their reviews published in papers south of the border.

Or it's to rub it in our face saying "nah nah nah nah nah... I got to drive the TT-RS!" :)

The silver parts are kind of ugly, in my opinion... And Audis OEM wheels are weak these days.

    I'm sure it's a blast to drive, though. :)

If I recall that is a 2.5 Liter turbo engine? I wonder what MTM will do to that car, there seems enough potential to create a true street rocket that can go around corners and beat the snot out of winter driving. I think this shall be my next car once revision II is out.

Correct, it's a 2.5L turbo engine, based on the VW 2.5 inline-five, which itself is based on the Gallardo's V10.

I'm sure MTM will get something ridiculous out of this engine :)

Wow, that may be my next car once it's time for an upgrade :) By then I'm sure there will be some very good options for tuning too!

You know it's funny...I was thinking the same thing. This is one of the very, very few cars that'd i'd actually buy brand new, off a dealership. Nothing really excites me these days.

The TT will finally pack the punch it should have always had... Not to mention a highly respectable weight of just 3,190lbs with AWD! And a turbo 5-cylinder? I'm in!

    Hardtop coupe, black, 6-speed manual.

But until then (and some extra cash, naturally ), i'm stickin' with the B5 S4. Hope they bring it!

imagine if the engine was as robust for modifications as the goat? Anyone see the RS4 dragster with the I5 swap? INSANE!
