I will try it out in a week or so....
The problem is that the b6/B7 Tacho receives speed ,rpm, etc with canbus.S4 Tacho receives each info through a pinout of the ECU....
BUT the S4 ecu is ME 7.1 which is what B6 V6 also use....And it is also connected to the canbus. So it may work....

A friends, friend already try it and I was told that it works fine.....I will know as soon as I finish wiring... I am installing a RS4 B7 tacho !!! :)

It is a different dash. How will it fit without looking like ass? Am I wrong here? Is the cutout the EXACT same size?

it isnt which is why i am interested in seeing how he is going to make it fit.
There is another thought which is to swap out the entire dash.

Im looking at a easier route which is to see i can swap out the interior of the b6/b7 cluster to bring it over.

If i can get a working model that would be great, a color lcd as opposed to our red ones.

What makes you think the dash would fit? Pandora's box

This is an old thread but has anyone managed to fit B6/7 cluster into B5? I have B5 RS4 and would like to have B7 RS4 cluster on it :)

It's pretty obvious that they aren't interchangable just by looking at the shape of each.

Shape is not a problem, is it possible to connect B7 cluster into B5? If that is not possible at all, then I need to forget the idea to have B7 cluster in my B5 RS4 :(

B7 uses CANBUS and B6 uses K-Line. I'm not sure this matters here or not, but I thought I'd point that out.
