    Need opinions on TSW wheels.

Ok well I'm not super interested in TSW's wheel line up. I do work for an automotive aftermarket company. My boss has a very good relationship with the owner of TSW and can get the wheels for CHEAP. I just got the Audi and he said have a look to see if there's anything I want. So I looked and I could only find one that looked ok and still its not that great. I want black so if it wasn't black I'd get it powdercoated. What do yall think about these?

Honest opinions. I doubt has anyone has pictures but anyone with ANY TSW wheels they could share? thanks.

Re: Need opinions on TSW wheels.

Wow I did some pic searching a little more in depth. Couldn't find them on an Audi but found them on some other cars....terrible. I mean real bad as far as looks go. Haha. I guess I just wished TSW made some cool wheels so I could get some cheap but I suppose it just won't happen...

Re: Need opinions on TSW wheels.

I wouldn't care what brand they were as long as they looked good on the car and weigh less than the stock avus's. These dont look good. I feel ya on not wanting to drop crazy money on your wheels but wanting something different. Every car Ive had I wanted wheels but as long as there is performance mods out there first those get my $.

TSW makes a decent wheel for the money. I just don't care for the style you posted. My personal favorites would be the Snetterton or the Croft.

TSW made some good wheels back in the day (90's) now they seem to be a bit softer wheel. I see that someone posted that theirs are holding up fine so maybe its all talk.

    I personally dont like TSW.

I don't know about that. I've had some TSW wheels on my 350Z Roadster since 2004, and so far they have withstood some harsh potholes in the Californian Central Coast. In the end it's what you like and can afford or allow yourself to spend.

I saw a pic a few months ago of a wheel mounted to an Audi and it looked like the centers just tore itself up and away from the spokes. Im not sure if it was a TSW and can't find it anymore.

Ive seen that happen with BBS wheels though. It all depends on the circumstances in which the wheel gets hit.

You should buy a set for your winter setup if they are a good deal, and throw some snows on.

I wouldn't buy those for summer wheels though, but that's me.

I've had TSW AMG replicas on my TL few years ago and they held up fine. They are on a heavy side though. Any wheel will bend given the right circumstances. Some wheels just have bad luck so to speak. I've bent forged rims twice and so far never had a problem with cast rims.

I agree that their wheels were nice in the 90's. I had a set of Hockenheim's on an E30 325is and they were awesome wheels. I bought for my TT a set of Kalyami's a couple of years ago and they were crap. The clear coat kept peeling and replacements sent to me from Discount Tire had finish issues including peeling finish right out of the box. I will never buy another TSW wheel.

You aren't saving any money by buying something you don't really want. Being the King of rationalizing purchases to one's self, I will give you this tip: Look at the total cost of buying these wheels you don't really want, then compare that to a set of reasonably priced wheels you actually dig. I bet the price difference to get what you really want (over, say the course of the next year of ownership) versus something you "can get CHEAP" is worth it.

TSW used to be huge over here in the UK in the early 90s, now we laugh at them, especially TSW Venoms. Strangly though TSW Stealths are fetching good money on eBay for the retro dub scene at the moment.

They mostly appear on Peugeots with jap style bodykits, lame tribal graphics and tunnel sized dual exhausts now haha
