Question Type D-BOV Hybrid Blow Off Valve

I'm curious as to how many people are running a BOV like this and what they think of it. I don't really know much about performance parts but it sounds like it's the best of both worlds combining a DV and BOV?

I apologize if this is a repost of a previous thread.

I'm currently using the GFB Hybrid that is suppose to work on sensitive cars like the B6. I'm looking out for a new BOV that functions the same as the Hybrid but gives a sharp whistle sound compared to the 'whoosh' effect that I'm getting from the Hybrid.

    Any recommendations?

there's actually a few options i've been thinking of when i, once again, upgrade my turbo. one option would be to add the optional horn on the gfb stealth, giving it more of a high pitch tone. be warned though, i've heard that the fx's are leaking in the wrx community and alot of dealer's have stop carrying them.
the second option would be, greddy has a recirculation kit they sell for the eclipse. i heard the vavle on a SR20 engine, recirculated, and it sounded pretty good. of course not as loud as a bov, but louder than a cai with bpv. abc.
    I miss my wagon...

I use the Forge BOV and I like the sound. The sound is quite noticible, definitely more crisp compared to a 1.8T Jetta with a CAI and Bailey's DV. It holds boost fairly well and I think its like $130 shipped fron ecs tuning.

oooh my friend has the one from eclipse. Its the Greddy Type-R or the Type-S depending on how high of a PSI you want to hold.

    ridiculous price on the LLtek....388?!

I just got my GFB Stealth FX yesterday and popped it in last night using a falshlight...Has a nice woosh sounds with a combined HIgh pitch. Only thing is I think i need to adjust it. I dont think that any DBOV or Whatever combo they do will ever give you full boost because i Def notice a performace loss..I am thinking of putting back my hyperboost bpv back in but dammm i love that sound!!!!!

hmm im using a turbo XS DV and it has a nice high pitch sound to it, and with the boosted tech CAI it gives it a nice "whoosh" along with the high pitched sound.

    bov

which bov can I run on b6 1.8t? which flange / kit do i need and where can i get it? I'm trying to find the BOV with the least problems. I've heard that running BOV on audi/vw systems are not good but I've heard of people that have run it and had no problems. Can anyone clarify this further? thanks.

I've got the Agency Power Hybrid BOV and it works and sounds great. It isn't too loud, but it's a sequential sound so it's really cool sounding. My girlfriend, who knows nothing about cars or the noises they make, says that the sound actually makes her horny. She wanted to know why the car didn't make the sound before, because she didn't know I put it in. I'd say that's a testomonial for you right there.

I ran 2 different GFB's on my car without any issues. I have the Stealth up for sale if you want it, it comes with the correct 25mm ends to be used in the stock spots for the A4.
