How much is it to insure your B7 2.0T?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I currently have State Farm and I'm looking to possibly switch. How much are you guys paying? Please state your age, specs of your car, what state you live in, and if you've had any moving violations within the past 2 years.

    Thanks

Re: How much is it to insure your B7 2.0T?

I'm 23, have Esurance (fuck their commercials), and pay $150 a month. Got a ticket about a year and a half ago for failure to follow road signs (ha in an old Ford F250, not even my car), but my rate didn't go up.

OP, you also need to take into account where people live as that has a huge influence on insurance rates...

    I'm 28.

    RAV4 $53.67/mo
    A4 $61.98/mo

I get a discount for having another vehicle. So assume a few dollars higher for having only the one vehicle.

This thread is useless without also stating what coverage you have, if you're FWD or AWD, any tickets/accidents, etc.

I'm 22. My car is a 05.5 6MT 2.0TQ. I have no tickets on my record. I have two accidents on my record (neither of which am I at fault for). I get a 'good credit' discount and a 'good student discount'. I don't know how much either of those is reducing my rate.

I have 100% full coverage (full limits 100/300/100 & all other protection/benefits) with SafeCo.

I pay ~$750/6 months or ~$125 each month.

25, one speeding ticket from a year ago. I pay $1800 per year.
Travelers Insurance. Full Coverage, $500 deductable.

You really can't compare with others because there are so many variables. Location, parking status, driver history, etc.

Just go to an insurance agent and have them shop around for you.

When I got a quote for myself from liberty mutual, it was around 330 a month.. and thats with the absolute MINIMUM requirements mandated by state law (MA).

    Stats:
-20-yo male, no accidents or tickets
    -2007 audi a4 s line
    -1000 deductible

    LOL.

    Seriously, how the hell?!

I am 28, never had an accident, a few tickets from 5+ years ago. Full coverage is $1050 for 6months through Geico, which is the cheapest I have found(05.5 A4 Quattro 2.0T).

It must be an Anchorage, AK thing.

for those of you with high payments, find out about commercial insurance. it makes no difference how many points u have or your age. all you need is a tax id number.

at least that how i have mine set-up.

    29 years old

    2006 Audi A4 2.0t quattro
    +
    2002 Lexus Is300

combined i pay $114 a month with geico

i have full coverage, and roadside assistance with paid rental car.

my only change was to drop my Audi deductible to $250, and my IS300 deductible is still at $500. the audi is listed as my primary car.

No accidents, except my is300 has been hit 5 times while parked, rear ended once, and i've had about $5000 worth of stereo equipment stolen, all which i claimed. i got pulled over for doing 97 in a 55 back in 2000, and an 87 in a 50 (construction zone) about 3 years ago. i had a few others that were maybe 15-20 mph over, and I've had a few hov voilations and exhaust tickets.

i live in northern va, in a suburb of DC.

it would probably be cheaper if i had a crappier second car, and made it my daily.

because your cars are much more expensive due to ridiculous taxes. Your insurance naturally has to be adjusted to the price of the cars.

OP whatever you switch to don't go farmers. They have decent rates, but rape you if anything happens to your car, even if its not your fault. Believe me, I am dealing with it now. I am actually going to switch to State Farm after this whole ordeal is done.

I am also in MA. 28 years old. Commerce Insurance. Only car on the policy, 2 drivers. Middle of the road level coverage 100k/300k for injury $500 deductible. No tickets but 3 points on my license for accident which adds $291 to my yearly premium. AAA discount. Yearly premium is $1198 so $99/month.

ICBC isn't THAT bad when you consider what it costs a young driver in Alberta.. I had a Jetta 1.8T when I was 21, it cost me about $4000/yr to insure.

Now that I'm 30, my 06 A4 2.0T Quattro Avant with an additional driver is $1100/yr

I'm with allstate now; have used geico, progressive, and mercury in the past but switch whenever they decide to raise premium for no reason. I'm 28 and have a clean record in last five years. Between my two cars on the left I pay $850 biannually for $500 deductible and full cov. Two drivers with distinguished driver discount, educator discount, home policy discount. Oh, and I have the SoCal rate HIKE.

i hate to say it, but it doesn't really matter what other people pay. odds of their situation being just like yours is one in a million, so then you're not comparing apples to apples. best bet is to just actually get quotes for *you* from other providers and then make a decision. not trying to be rude, just trying to save you some time
