i dont think any OEM wheels are light... perhaps the 18" RS4 style would be the best bet

b) most stock audi 18's I'm pretty sure are around 26-27 lbs (for the 18 inchers on b6/b7 at least...)

It comes down to, how light do you want, and how much do you want to spend? AFAIK, there aren't any OEM wheels for Audi that could be considered "lightweight"

I'd like to think that as well, but when I was lifting and moving my wheels, the 18" rs4 style wheels were just about the same as the 18" avus that it replaced on my car.

OEM wheels aren't light. most of them are in the 27lbs range.

BBS RGR is light but they cost a pretty penny.
I am on my 6th set of wheels which I am going to run Kosei K1 TS wheels 18". that wheel is 16.8lbs each! it's super light. If you don't live in NYC or Detriot, you will be fine.

Not really about WHAT? That they bend or they are light? I had them on my car and I have a guy where i live that has them on him A4. After he finished bending his 3rd wheel, I decided to take mine off, and they are up for sale.

saying a wheel can bend doesn't say much, I've seen OEM forged 17" wheels bend and shatter. it depends on the driver, the streets, and wtf happened

Ok I agree, many variables, just stating my opinion. I only had them on the car for about 1K miles, I work in NYC and no good 19's. they are HOT wheels if you have the right roads. Where as I live in NJ I commute driving the S every day, so not so good on the bending. Just didn't want to risk it.

To offer some information on the various threads in this post I'd like to say that the current (as of about 1 year ago) Hartmann HR8 wheel in 18" is 22.20 lbs. Hartmanns current HR8 wheel is a new and improved design from Hartmanns new German manufacturing partner and is a different casting than the original Italian made wheels that Hartmann originally offered in the R8 styling back in 2007.

The new German HR8 wheel is coming from a brand new state of the art foundry which is able to produce both stronger and lighter wheels than the Italian made ones that were previously offered. I'd like to say that of the new German HR8 wheels to my knowledge possibly two in 19" and not a single 18" have been bent yet as zero single wheel orders have been placed for that wheel in 18" and 2 in 19" though this could also be for curb damage or even matching spares.

For factory wheel weight comparisons OEM B5 S4 Avus 17x7.5" ET45 is 29.3 Lbs, OEM B6 A4 "Celebration" RS4 styled wheel 17x7.5" ET43 is 26.30Lbs. The new OEM R8 wheels are forged but close to $1,000-ea, not sure on the exact weight for those.
