    hey guys my buddy at work has a 95 90 q sitting in his garage, it needs a fuel pump new brakes possibly fuel lines and probably a timing belt job done.. i would be doing all the work myself.. he wants 600 dollars for it, it has under 120k on the clock.. is it a smart buy or should i pass? i want something good on gas and something i can drive all year round i.e quattro..

    Its a 2.8L V6 right? If its a 5 speed, the body is straight and the interior is clean... and you don't mind spending the time and money to get the parts, sure why not its a good car. the 91 20v is the one you want of the B4 body style, but my 90 ran all the way to 220k without issue before I traded it in for my 1st B5. And I wouldn't worry about the timing chain yet. I changed out the timing chain at 160k though it really didn't need it.

    Just in case you gonna want to pimp out that 90 a bit, make sure you take those ugly bumpers off! best idea would be to put the old 90 v20 bumpers, RS2 ones or just get the original Audi 80 bumper shipper from Europe.
