c5a6 towing capacity

i was wondering how much my a6 sedan can tow.
I know Allroads can tow a descent size boat, but there are only class I towing hitch for a6.
Isn't diff. b/w Allroads and A6's only suspension?
same power, and almost same tranny, isn't it?
Can I get a towing hitch for allroad and fit it on a sedan? w/raised rear suspension, it should work...isn't it?

allroad OEM class III tow hitch good for 5,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 500 pounds tongue weight.
Not sure about A6. Good luck finding an allroad hitch. They are rare and very, very expensive when you do find them at all.

That is the Euro hitch rating the American version is 3000/300

I would be very happy if I could get a class II on my car...
Allroads tow more cause of the adjustable sus.???
or am I missing something else...?

Question, I have a hitch for a B5 Passat... Wonder if it would bolt onto my car. Since the rear suspension is basically the same.
