For those who have silk nappa leather...

None of the previous thread actually shows how effective mr.clean magic eraser is. some even say don't use it on leather because it is a bit abrasive.

I gave it a little test on my headrest and i think it works like a charm!
To make sure the leather is not overworked, i wet the eraser with water and wipe GENTLY on the leather several times. wipe off the excess water immediately with a dry cloth towel. After i finish cleaning, i apply a GENEROUS amount of leather conditioner to moisturize the leather.

I am very happy with the result and will give it a try on the seat tomorrow.

Magic erasers are also great for suede! Has anyone tried magic eraser on black seats?

I think the seats with the alcantera only have "regular" leather, it's not as soft as teh "silk" leather found on the seats without the alcantera inserts...

CLEAR INTERIORS?! you'd see EVERY piece of dirt!!

thats why i like white interiors. dirt isnt nearly as visible as the clear ones. you'd need a really magic eraser to clean that shit

Re: For those who have silk nappa leather...

I just got done cleaning the driver's seat (so I can compare) and the steering wheel with Leather Masters kit and I just had to post how impressed I am with it. The steering wheel and seat look so much better and feel silky!!! Feels like the day I bought it!!!! It didn't make all of the signs of wear and tear disappear, but it got most of it. Also got rid of the squeeks and squeals that the leather makes when you adjust the seats. The steering wheel is soft and supple again as it got rid of all the oil build up from my hands. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have the silk leather as well but I am partial to using Zymol leather cleaner (you can get it at Target). It cleans very well and gives the car a nice clean leathery scent.

Does Zymol make the leather look shiny? I didn't want it to look shiny and I was told the Leather Masters would make it look like it came from the factory, which is not shiny.

No it's not a shine at all it's like a very very dilute soap with a subtle hint of orange smell that you just rub on with a rag and then wash off with a damp towel. There is no residue; it just cleans the dirt off.
