    Re: Der Abt AS4!!

I agree with Foofighter about the look....too many "openings", I'm sure they aren't ALL functional.

Here's what I translated, but it's not perfect:

The ABT AS4: Aggressive look for the best-seller
There’s hardly a car that’s been talked about as much this year as the AUDI A4: With its debut in the DTM series (German Touring Masters), the best-seller won titles in the drivers, team and manufacturer’s championship in Europe’s most popular touring car series.

On the road-going version, ABT Sportsline has put absolute value on sportiness, dynamics and high-quality design.

The AUDI A4 already comes out of Ingolstadt with dynamic lines, but ABT Sportsline continues with its own high-quality manufactured body parts. The front grill and front spoiler lip were developed to give the ABT AS4 an aggressive “facial expression”. This look continues along the sides towards the rear, where the AS4 is equipped with a rear wing and ABT rear apron. Apart from a sportier appearance, the parts ensure improved downforce and thus a more stable road-hugging ability.

The ABT engineers have also improved the performance of the standard model from Ingolstadt. The 2.0 TDI engine under the hood, originally putting out 140 HP (103 KW), now measures 170 HP (125 KW). The extra boost, achieved with ABT Sportsline perfected chip tuning, results in a clearly improved engine response. An agreeable sound comes from the four chromium-plated final pipes. Also, the improved sport brake assembly comes from the ABT.

With all these improvements, optimal contact with the roadway is an important factor, and ABT supplies two important components: the ABT 8.5 x 19” SP1 Titan-Design sport rims, as well as matching Dunlop tires. The tire manufacturer partners with the AUDI-ABT Sportsline team in the DTM, as well as in the car tuning business.

The ABT AS4 package is rounded off with prominent emblems on the rear and the engine hood.

    Thanks aussie_s4!

I agree with you guys that it's a little to busy. Still cool to see what tuners are introducing for the B7.

Im sure it is going to look sick in person. I am getting a b7 and it will either be abt or oettinger for me. Well we'll see what other tuners develop stuff. But I really feel abt and oettinger make nothing but top of the line products.

Damn. Already? I think it looks pretty hot. It definitely has a G35 look from the rear. The front looks a little crazy, but the bottom spoiler balanced out the huge grill a little bit.

Atleast the back looks much more aggressive than it's stock form, imo.
