    Re: BSR tuning??

Yeah, BSR is quality stuff and very popular in Saab tuning circles. I used to have an '07 9-3 Aero Sedan and if it wasn't for the allure of driving another R32 I would have BSR'd my car.

Resurrecting this thread to give props to BSR. I'm military stationed in Germany and like the idea of being able to switch back to stock if needed when I return to the states. This is the main reason that I went with BSR in the first place. I ran a Stage I from them for over a year until I decided to put on a 034 HFC. I had a local shop here install a Stage II tune and turn off the 2nd O2. The tune sucked. No CEL...but...I instantly felt like I lost power and then...the smell. I was told a HFC would smell...but this was like toxic...lol. Also, my transmission had a huge delay when I was in sport mode...like I would hit the gas and the car would fall on it's nose then jerk. I pretty much only drove in drive so this wouldn't happen...which defeats the purpose of having a tune for performance IMO. I ran it like that for about 3 months. During that time I even got smoked on the Autobahn by a Mazdaspeed Protege 5. Everything I had and couldn't catch him...it was horrible. Anyways, I decided to reflash BSR Stage I and instantly my car was back. Fast as hell and no jerky transmission. I even smoked a Skyline R32 GTR on the Autobahn (yes...he was trying too...and was not happy when I let him catch me later...lol) Then I got the CEL for the 2nd O2. So I contacted BSR to see if they could write me a Stage I with the 2nd O2 turned off. They wrote me a modified version of their Stage III and not only is it awesome...but I don't smell the HFC anymore either. I've never used any other tune except for the local shop here so that's all I have to compare it to. But...it's great and their customer service is awesome. Anyways...if you are looking for something different that has great results...BSR is your answer.
