A4 S4 2008 vs. A4 08 2.0T Ti S-line Quattro/FWD

Okay don't get angry on this post. I'm just curious to know who here prefers the looks over these two cars. Don't ge me wrong I like the S4 08 model but I'm a bigger fan of the looks of the A4 2.0T S Line Quattro black on black. What do you prefer looks wise?

Really there isn't a a big difference in looks. The s4 has a quad exhaust, silver mirrors, a different grill and different rims. The body is the same though. The titanium package on the A4 will give you black window trim, black grill, black headliner, different rims, and black wood. I'm a fan of the titanium package (I'm a little biased though haha) so I guess I prefer A4 titanium

The titanium package is absolutely unbeatable in my opinion. Never seen such an attractive package for the young consumer as OEM. Definitely a trend starter since now BMW has shadowline trim and other cars also going to the piano black finish.

S4 FTW. I feel like a little girl when some guy pulls up next to me in one of those. I have major self-esteem issues though ;) The titanium is gorgeous though.

lets just put it this way... once u have the a4, u would want an S4... unless fuel economy is a huge issue

The S4 will always be the bigger beast out of the box. But once you do full bolt ons to the A4, youre putting out more torque with better gas mileage. The insurance is cheaper, you have body color mirrors which i prefer to sliver ones that look out of place, and when you get bored with it you can always buy a bigger turbo or get better resale value by selling it.

The Ti pckg. rims are fucking terrible, other than that, it's a pretty nice package inside out, but S4 interior FTMFW and if you say different you must be on something. I mean the availability of Alcantara, Racaro buckets, and C/F fucking own the S-Line and Ti pckg. interiors for sure. Never was a big fan of door blades though...all in all I just prefer the tunability of the 2.0T to the V8.

Motor-wise id go with an s4...gotta love that exhaust sounds...

Sorry if I butt hurt you and your pal up there, but I have an utter distaste for those rims. They're too small and ugly for that car...and don't act like I'm the only one who thinks so. I know plenty of people, euro-scene people, who think they're ugly as shit too. Most people tend to prefer the other OEM 17 split spokes. However, you're right, to each his own.

yea i respect your opin but i honestly just find them as one of they key reasons i fell in love with the car. coulda got an s4 but when i saw that brand spankin new ti on the lot had to grab it. its all about the color combosss

Ti wins in the looks dept; the S4, well lets be honest, other then the small tank for the crappy MPG (i.e. frequent trips to the pump), I wouldn't argue that'd be my pick if fuel economy and price was not an issue; regarding the Ti wheels, i'll contribute my point of view. When I was looking for my A4, all i wanted was quattro and manual; then soon I realized I wanted S-line/suspension; after weeks of looking I ran into my BR-Tit and though I was unsure bout the wheels at first, truth is the more I have it, the more I like them; they compliment the color scheme very well and with wheel spacers IMO the look is complete.

As said before, to each his own; I personally would take OEM 18" Ti's over aftermarket 19" RS4 knockoffs. I must admit I really like Davis' look though.

I love the look of the TI package, I hate the fact the each rim takes like 8 min each to clean right!

To be honest, I would give my car up any day of the week for an S4, if someone wanted to swap :-P, I miss my V8 mustang, I wouldent miss it anymore with a v8 S4 haha.....that sound of the 4.2 is like sex....on wheels of course

I'd take the A4 with titanium's exterior over the S4, but once you factor in any other aspect of the car (interior, performance, etc..) the s4 takes it, hands down.

Also I'm pretty sure "most" is a bit of an overstatement. I'd say about 5-10% would prefer the 17" split spokes over the titanium package wheels.

I love the 2.0t and agree that you can match the performance of an s4 with the turbo, however one thing is the sound, the turbo will never sound like the bad ass v8 of the s4.

Nope, DTM is an option on the S4.


I think both cars are nice however it depends on if you want show or go. I think the Ti looks much better than the standard S4 as you will get the black trim, black grille and Ti wheels. I am personally getting the urge to trade up to something with a bigger engine after almost 3 years in a chipped 2.0T...

Show me where it says that I think a 17" rim is bigger than an 18. My previous sentence in that paragraph was stating my opinion that I think 18's are too small of a rim for this car in general, with some exceptions.
