S5 Stock Wheel Weight

Anyone know the how much stock S5 (19") weighs without tires?

Does anyone know the weight of the stock A5 S-line wheels as well, or have a link to an official Audi product guide listing these weights?

S5 are purportedly 29 lbs. and the dunlops that come stock are 29 lbs. as well... 58 lbs. per corner.

While holding the tire/rim, jump on your bathroom scale. Note the weight...then put the tire/rim down and get back on the scale and note your personal weight. Subtract #2 from #1 and BAM....Not an exact science but it give you a ballpark figure.

Ya I was gonna do that but I don't have a scale at home unfortunately. I do have a 24Hr Fitness membership tho and there are scales there. Hmm...

Thx for the info Mr Jones. Would it be safe to assume that the A5 S-line wheels are the same weight as the S5s?

I believe Mr Jones is correct or damn close. I have not weighed mine but wil I can do it 2 weeks when the winter set goes on the car.

Well, the A5 S-line 18" wheels weigh considerably less than the S5 19" wheels.

In fact my S-line 18" wheels with winter tyres (245-40/18 W Vredestein wintrac xtrem), being the tyres completely worn, weighs about 51 lbs per corner.
With the tyres new it's expected to weigh a bit more, about 54 lbs per corner.

What is really surprising for me is that my VMR V710 8,5x19 rims with Kumho ecsta SPT 255-35/19 96Y tyres completely new mounted, weighs only 54,66 lbs per corner, so the S5 8,5x19" rims are really heavy weighing 58 lbs per corner with tyres mounted.
I was as surprised as you could be when I weighed the wheels on my house scale.

I sold my OEM S5 wheels with OEM Dunop tires. UPS weighed it as 50 lbs for each wheel set including cardboard and plastic wrapping. So 29 lbs for the wheel sounds right but I doubt the tire is just as heavy. My best guess is 30 lb wheel, 15 lb tire.

19" tires are quite a bit heavier than 15 lbs!! Tirerack has a pretty good reference sheet in terms of tire weights. They probably use this to make their UPS labels

If anyone is in the market to buy new tires, I would definitely check out Tirerack's reference sheets.. You may save 3-4 lbs per corner which is comparable with going from cast to forged wheels

I stand corrected. I just checked my records and each wheel/tire set was 60 lbs, not 50 lbs. I saw it on their scale so they didn't mark-up the weight or anything like that for shipping purposes. So if the tire is 29 lb according to the tire rack website, then the wheel must be about 29 lbs, as stated by others here. I figure the plastic wrapping and cardboard piece I used for shipping is a couple pounds.

I wonder if Audi has a product spec sheet somewhere for all of their wheels. It'd be nice to have public access to sizes, offsets, and weights of all Audi OEM wheels for those who're interested... unless those stats are supposed to be on the DL for whatever reason.

I just bought a digital bathroom scale from CVS and weighed myself. Then I grabbed one of the A5 S-line wheels I have and stepped back on the scale to get the difference.

So unofficially, an A5 S-line wheel weighs 28.2 lbs.
