OEM B5 S4 Xenon Headlights

I have a set of OEM B5 S4 Xenon Headlights but I never bothered to install the highbeams...the bulbs are H7's correct?

one are standard bulbs the other are hid's

Low beam - H7.
High beam - H7.

On HID ecodes:

Low beam - D2S.
High beam - H7.

The "Xenon" bulb/lights are just to damn low....How hard would it be to install some HID's on these OEM B5 S4 Xenon Headlights?

perhaps you might want to reconsider changing the temperature of the bulbs. 4300k are the brightest / whitest. they are oem hid temp.

get em here, select the D2S bulb option, they are pretty cheap and VVME is trusted, GOOD luck!!

Go with some philips D2S bulbs, they are all over Ebay. Make sure you get new ones though, they usually run about $60 a pair I think.

I'm saying that I would use the quality OEM Philips 4300k bulbs that will last much longer, and be more reliable than the VVME.

The manufacturing quality is going to be much higher with the Philips bulbs, and the failure rate of the bulbs will be much smaller.

Well here it it...it looks exactly the SAME. It's almost as if my car isn't outputting enough power to the headlights/bulbs. I see all you guys with HID kits and they are bright as fuck...again I can't see more than like 3 feet in front of my car.

are your headlights aligned properly? Or is it that the beam just isn't bright even when pointed against a wall?


You really have to be careful with judging brightness by pictures though as the exposure time and camera settings are really unknown.

Here is what mine look like for the record: Exposure Time 1/8 SEC

BTW, the I found the exposure time for the photo you posted...

It was 1 SEC, so that is obviously brighter than they look in real life.

Also just one side is dim or both?

Just aim them at a garage door or something, and stand infront of one headlight to gauge each beams brightness against each other.

But my guess is this is a ballast problem, especially if the headlights were significantly brighter earlier in their life.
