Wheelwell liner falling ideas to stick it back up?

Ok so the one wheel well liner on my drivers rear is falling, its been like that since i bought the car and it obviously rubs a lot more and I dont want it to wear away to nothing before i fix it

Ideas to pin it back up?? Just glue I'd guess but maybe a specific kind?

I included a quick rough picture from my phone just for the hell of it

The right side is where the fender is and then you can see the end of the liner hanging

Re: Wheelwell liner falling ideas to stick it back up?

I would be tempted to replace it because I would be concerned about debris getting behind it in the area that is already worn away... As far as glues to stick plastic to metal, they're hard to find, and don't always work the best.

    I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

Dont be mistaken, the picture may be misleading, The end of the liner is still just about all there, when i push it back down just one small inch section has worn away by about half an inch

a garage raid and a half hour of looking and this is what I came up with...

Industrial strength glue and some plastic clips to keep it pinned to the metal

Yup, I glued mine and clamped it while it dried. I think I might have used Gorilla glue?? Its been 3 years now and no issues.

If your liner comes down again, head to your local Home Depot or Lowe's and check out the area where they keep all the glues/caulk. There's this stuff that comes in a silver tube that's made specifically for non-porus or hard to glue surfaces. The name of it escapes me, but just ask someone there for the glue that sticks marble to tile, that's the stuff and it's by far the strongest adhesive I've EVER seen.

Pull it out. You don't absolutely need them.

Gorilla glue works just fine. Don't use liquid nails as it's not as good as Gorilla.

I know this thread is old as dirt but the good ole search function brought it up for me.. I have a B7 A4, my splash guard on the front right passenger's side had come loose and was hanging down for a couple of days. While going over a speed bump the entire wheel well liner snapped in half and ripped out. I've done a little searching and can't really find a replacement. Is it a bad idea to just leave them off? I know on my dad's race car he has taken them off completely and only saved specific parts of the under carriage for aerodynamic purposes. I guess the wheel well liners aren't made to keep all moisture out, just debris. Do you guys think I will be fine without it?

You can get a replacement at Genuineaudiparts for about $60, I believe. When I bought my car it came with the driver's front fender liner missing the front half. When I took out the old one to replace it I must've found five pounds of mud in there. You should replace it, it's really easy.
