B8 S4 grill on a B8 A4?

Anyone who knows if the B8 S4 grill fits straight into the B8 A4 without any modifications?

Anyone who has done this? Pictures?

THe mounting holes are not exact the same as at S5, but grill size is the same

He had to add a mounting plate on the grill (under the motor hood - nit visible) to fix it

are you sure that the s-line grille is different on the a4? i know it was on the last generation (b7) but seeing as the s5 / a5 have swappable grilles, i don't see why they would make the a4/s4 have different sized grilles...

I have the gloss black grill in my S. Line because I don´t like the standard grill. The dealer changed the grill and stuck the emblem S.Line. Now looks like very well. I recommend the change. Here both grills, gloss black and standard have the same price: 138€.

I don't think there's been any confirmation that it won't fit... just A4Ber guessing. He could be wrong.

i was told if you have the non sline b8 you can get the black gloss grille off the 3.2 non sline and it is jus a swap.

Rodaz, I'm very interested in the S5 grill, You are speaking of small modifications, can you explain? I have an Audi A4 TDI without S-kit, so the normal bumper, will it fit. Can you send me as much as possible pictures of the car of your friend...

as I have seen several times here in belgium allready, B8 grilles seem to be interchangeable without any modification so S4 should fit S-line AND non s-line
when I ordered my gloss black grill at the dealer I asked him about the fact my car was a non s-line and he didn't found any other partnumber that would say it belongs only to s-line

I like the grill but would not want the S badge, there should have to be some way to order another chrome bar like on the right side to cover the hole on the left, so no badge has to be placed

The grill costs 350 Euro in belgium. I have ordered an S4 B8 grill per accident, in black part nr 8K0 853 651 D VMZ. The grill is glass black arround, and frosted black in the middle, Audi rings are chrome. If someone is interested please send me a message.
I have also the the side skirts from the S4 B8, also not the one I need, double side plus mounting kit 158,21 euro .

And, S-line grille does not exist. There is not such grille !

It's been done. The grills physically fit but the mounting are off and have to be rigged to work. I don't remember the post but someone here has used an S5 grill on an A4.

from what i saw, the s5 grill is a little bit thicker in chrome (strip running vertically) which makes it look more shiny and awesome compared to the s4 grill. am i wrong on this or are they both exactly the same in width ? if not, then i would just get the s4 grill then.
and you guys are telling me that the s4 grill is swappable without any mods at all ? that would be awesome.

The only mod required is removing the S4 badge from the grille and finding something more suitable to put in it's place. Seriously.

The S Line badge will only get you +1 poser point with no noticeable increase in HP or torque. S4 badge would get +2 poser points, along with +5HP and TQ.
